"Formal" night on the 4 night Wonder cruises will never be on the first night (the day you embark) correct? I am trying to figure out our wardrobe needs and I really hope I won't need to iron DH's shirt on the first day aboard.

We are doing the land/sea and we won't know our dining rotation until we get to our stateroom. Being the worry wart that I am, I am now making a chart of what outfits we will be wearing on which evening. Obsessive?!?! Who me????

There isn't really a "formal" night on the 4 day cruises....at least not on the one we took in 03. DH and DS wore coats and ties the night we ate at Triton's.

Same here, Tritons on the Wonder is considered
DCL's finer dining room (that does not have any
additional cost).

Palo's is $10.00 per person additional but well
worth it.

On other cruise lines - usually the 2nd night out
is considered the Capt.'s Party. Due to the rotation
of dining rooms on DCL, Tritons on the Wonder is
their finer dining room, so you will see guests dress
in sport coats for the men and usually a dress for
the women or a nice pants suit. Also, great picture
night :)

Thanks for the well wishes everyone!! I am not sure if I got it though!! (I told you guys I can be quite dense at times!! Sorry!!) So there could be a possibility that our dinig rotation could put us in Tritons the first day of our cruise. Like we could have TAPT rotation?? Correct??? And if we did have TAPT....would our "dress up for formal pictures night" be that day we board the ship?? Or can we dress up for formal pictures any night??

Please be patient with this old lady.. She can be taught!!!

The Wog..... I know. I know!!! JUST 5 MORE DAYS!!! YEAH!!!:hyper:

If I'm remember correctly from our 4 night this past February, they did not do any "formal" pictures on the first night. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th night they had different backdrops out. So you could end up with Tritons the first night, but still do your "formal" picture on another night.

Hope I said that clearly!

Denise

Thank You Denise, I get it NOW. The backdrops for the pictures are out several evenings and do not necessarily corespond with the dining rotations, correct? Sounds like we will have several options to getting our "fromal" pictures!!

Thanks for clearing that up for me!!!:)

You got it. Also that gives you several options for what you wear for "formal". On our seven night cruise we had pictures in our "dress up" clothes one night and another night in our tropical outfits. Just remember that those "formal" pictures with the backdrops are $19.95 each so your budget may limit your love of them. Since we never seem to getting around to getting family pictures at home, we got lots of these.

another fyi - you can NOT have an iron in your room - not sure how you were planning to iron your DH's shirt :)

On the ironing. I made a point to visit the laundry room the first afternoon to iron the stuff I was going to wear later in the week that had become wrinkled in the suitcase. I took five or six things and just got it over with. Didn't take that long.

I did plan on using the iron in the laundry room, or possibly sending them out to be ironed. I think I'll use your suggestion and have them all done on the first day to save some time. Thank you for your help!!
