know what your triggers are. know what you want to do ahead of time and plan for waits and sometimes shutdowns.. and know your limits.. nothing worse than having a meltdown in line and not being able to articulate to the CM what is happening..
there is an app that allows you to type messages to people when in a meltdown or if you cant talk..its called Emergency chat.. and its says... I gave you my phone because I cant use or process speech right now. but Im still capable of text communication. My hearing and tactile senses are extremely sensitive in this state. so please refrain from touching me. please keep calm and proceed to the next screen that has a simple chat box through which we can communicate ..
its free to download.... and worth just having in case something goes awry.
youtube the rides so you know what you want to do..
get a park map and route out what your priority in each land is.. do a magic morning fastpass machines dont open till the park for general admission opens.
if you are going to WDW you can get fastpass+ which allows you to book your fp well in advance...if doing DL you will get them on the day..
my son has Asperger's and ADHD he wears a hoodie or hat and sunglasses to cut down on visual noise.. he will take his IPod for noise control too. he also needs to move. so loves the fast rides..
if you can try to go at a quieter time of year.. this will cut down on crowds...
not sure what else I can add.. as I dont know which park you are going too... WDW or DL Cal.
Hope you have a great trip.
