We are heading to Disney World for the 2nd time in April. But my husband will be in a conference for 4 out of the 7 days we are there. Does anyone have any ideas for me to make it easier with the kids by myself? I have a 14yr old son and 12 and 7 year old duaghter.

WE are going the first week....does anyone know if it will be croweded then. The only time we went before..my son went for Make a Wish. Didnt get to see too much...any advice would be great. Thanks.

P.S. Im new...so im trying to learn the lingo here.

Hi,
April shpouldnt be too bad.
Spring break starts in March and goes through the first part of April, but most are in March. March is terribly crowded!!!
The easiest thing is to be at the park a few minutes before they open if possible because most will take a couple of hours to start getting busy.
use the fast pass system when it starts to get busy, this will prevent you from some of the long lines. Never go to MK on a saturday!!! It is always packed because lots of locals seem to go on saturday. Sunday mornings early are good for MK. If you go to animal kingdom, be there at opening and head straight for the safari ride and get a fast pass, then walk a trail or go to conservation station while waiting for time to use your pass. That will save lots of time too.
we live by WDW and go all the time, so I am not just guessing about this, it is experiences I have had. My son works for WDW and he was just saying how they are gearing up for spring break in March and first week of April because some of the parks max out everyday.
If the parks get too hectic, dont forget about disney quest if the kids like games or a water park, again, be there a few minutes beforethey open. Do slides first then when it gets crowded you can still get in the pool, there is always room there. Also if it gets too crowded, head for the mini golf vcourse by blizzard beach, that i s fun too.
Hope you have agreat trip.

Thank you so much! I will definatly follow your advice! I will just try to remain calm...and I wont go to MK on Sat! I am nervous on keeping an eye on the kids by myself if its super crowded....I am thinking of matching bright color shirts.

Again thanks for the info..

I hope you have agreat time. The matching shirts thing is a great idea - just be sure it is a bright/unusual color, with some kind of writing would help as well.
I know how you feel - nervous about the kids. I would lay the ground rules down long before you get there - your kids are old enough to understand - if you go out of my eyesight we WILL leave the park. Bad part of that is you would have to stick to it. Hopefully though they will take you seriously and not wander.
