We just returned from our DL trip today. Last week as we entered the boarding area for Splash Mtn I noticed a big hub-bub on the walkway where guests exit the boats. Two cast members were directing a crowd out of the area in a way which I thought was odd. A few moments later, a guy entered the boarding area from another ramp. He knew the CM loading the boats and they greeted each other and I heard her ask, "Did you just see David Beckham?" I turned to my husband and repeated what I heard and saw (he was fussing with kids). Of course, he told me I was crazy, but sure enough, I just Googled-around and found several articles and pics of Becks and Posh in the park that day! Urgh! And I'm one of those who's always trying to keep an eye open - for celebs, dream team, ANYONE, and I always miss them! Anyone in the park that day and catch sight of them?

Am I the only person that finds celebrity gawking annoying? It inconveniences everybody and I'm sure they'd just like to blend in with everybody else. Maybe because I have had jobs working with talent, but I don't see why all of the idolization.

Well honeymom those of us who dont work with "talent" get excited when we see a fav celeb although im not TOO impressed my daughter went gaga when we saw Ben Stiller in April and to be honest i got a bit caught up in it too... I dont nor did my daughter accost in any way Mr. Stiller but it was very fun to see him!! For most of us seeing someone in person we have seen on screen is exciting....i know my dad who normally is very reserved got excited when we were there in 2004 he got to see a bunch and talk to some of his fav ball players from the texas rangers who were staying at the same hotel as us.... too each his own, but please dont knock those who find it fun and exciting, and i wouldnt go as far as calling it "Idolization"

just my 2 cents!!! :)

I agree. It's just exciting. I don't think people should follow them or approach them, but to catch a glimpse would have been pretty cool!

We saw Cameron Mathison & his family at an airport in Puerto Rico last Thanksgiving. He's the All My Children Soap Opera actor and did Dancing with the Stars. We had just got off our flight from St. Lucia and went to baggage carousels as we had to get our luggage for flight back to the states (what a pain). We walked right up next to him w/out realizing it. We were at the wrong carousel as he wasn't on our flight. Our carousel was actually right next to his though. He had 2 sons, one holding a stuffed animal shark. When I saw him, my heart pounded (who could help it...he's such a hunk! And even more so in person!). He went off and got a luggage cart, and did all the work while his wife tended to their children. He went through security before us and he got the pat down!

But, there was no bruhaha. No entourage. No paparazzi. Just lots of us average citizens who noticed him and how cute he is even in person! Even my husband recognized him (he saw him before me)! All of us non-celebrities let him and his family be though. Not one person approached as far as I could tell.

I saw them a couple of times. The first was exiting Toad and walking around the carousal. I snapped a picture from about 15 feet away and within seconds was told not take another picture by Disney Security. I then exiting Pinochio with the whole family. Was in the vehicle in front of them.

We live in West Los Angeles and had lived in in Hollywood for about 14 years and we would see stars all the time. Sometimes its pretty cool to see your favorite star. No offense but if you are too cool to be impressed by seeing a star, well good for you, but to the rest of us common folk its pretty neat!:rotfl2: Ooooh Chip and Dale are in the tree in my back yard, gotta go gotta find my camera...:rotfl2:

Awwww man! Wish I would have seen them! I'd never approach a celebrity, never have when I have seen them. But it would be nice to see David Beckham in person! DD would have been ecstatic, her David Beckham jersey was her favorite Christmas present this year.

I'm surprised everyone knows who David Beckham is in the US. Do most know him from being a world-class soccer player or for being married to a Spice Girl? Just curious.

I was at the resort Monday through Friday. I believe it was Wed. when I saw them. They had several Disney Security, own body guards and "disney suits" surrounding them. On a side note, I saw Ed Grier in California Adventure Thur. morning.

Soccer player, of course. And now that he plays for the LA Galaxy, even more so. My kids know who he is, but they have no idea who the Spice Girls are! :rotfl: They'd never notice Victoria Beckham.

That is awesome! Now if we could just get the right team around him and Landon Donovan The LA Galaxy could get back to winning!

I would probably notice Posh before David! LOL

Ummm, I work with celebs, talent, famous musicians everyday and I still get excited to see them. LOL Not in a freaky drool over or stalk them way but I do get to hang out many famous musicians. I've had this job for 5 years and it's still not old. I love to go home and say "Eric Clapton called today" LOL It really never gets old. :)

Whoa! You mean he's not just a underwear model for Georgio Armani!? :rotfl:
I wont lie, I first heard about him way-back-when him and Posh started dating.

I would have loved to see him, just to gawk, not to stalk.

How cool to have seen him (or almost seen him) lol.

I know him from soccer. The Galaxy stadium is across the street from our neighborhood, and I could walk there. It was pretty big news when he played there.

I'm not saying that I don't get excited, I'm not that jaded. But, it's when people crowd around. I just think celebs should have their privacy. The inconvenience I was referring to comes from trying to get through crowd throngs to your favorite rides. I've also witnessed times where the celebs have security that treats everybody rudely so the celeb can get through. It is almost like we have to clear out for a king or queen to pass. I don't know if that happens at DL, but I have seen it happen elsewhere.

Why not be excited, but why not act normal, too?
