I am trying to post a new thread for the first time, so please be patient with me.
In 22 days Hubby and I are getting our double dream vacation, I say double because 1. We are going to Disney World. 2. We are not taking any( and I mean any kids). Let me give you a little background on us. Hubby(Joe) and I (Shelli)were married 6 years ago,we have a yours mine and ours thing going on. Together we have 7 kids, 2 from his first marraige, 4 from my first marraige and 1 together. Last year we braved it and took all the kids to Disney World in July. Needless to say i had not found this site yet. We did alot but it was focused around the kids, now it will be for us.

At this point we are about 3 weeks away and i have been reading and planning, and reading. I think i changed the plans about 5 times already. But just to give you an idea of what were thinking...

Day 1- get to airport by 5 a.m.,flight leaves at 6:25 a.m. should be in Disney by say 11:30 am. Check in at Hotel (Corrando Springs) and head to first park Epcot  We are meeting his sister there she lives 30 min from Disney (lucky duck). We have plans to do the Micky Doleze concert that night as well as reservations for Biergarden Resturant.

Day 2-Animal Kingdom , We have no ADR's for this day, only because I really want to try Resturantasaurus and Flame tree barbaque. We hope to finish this park early and go to the Boardwalk that evening, I need to go to Jellyrolls,(keep seeing Donald and Daffy in my dreams playing piano).

Day 3-Magic Kingdom, now this is where it get hairy, we have a lunch ADR for Tony's at 11:30 and a Dinner ADR for Liberty Tree Tavern at 7:30.

Day 4- Hollywood Studios, we left this for last because it is the first Star Wars Weekend when we are down there and do not choose to fight the crowds at least not there. Its not that were not Star Wars people, quite the opposite. We just don't think that we could do much if we went there and dont really care for the massive crowds. By the way we have an ADR for 50's Prime time (I am hoping that we have a great waitress who makes serious fun of my hubby, payback i tell ya payback.)

Day 5- This is come home day or start Disney withdrawals day (however you look at it). Our flight doesnt leave till 6 so we can do a park in the morning. We havent decided which one so that will be a surprise.

My hubby jokes with me cause i am a planner. I have a piece of paper,(my day guide) for each park, On that i have listed each ride i want to do, and the order they appear in, along with charater greeting,( yes i am still a kid at heart and need to be hugged by fuzzy cute things). Along with each show/fireworks we want to do and the times they are scheduled for that day. By the way did i mention that i have times listed by all the rides. (gotta keep on schedule lol) I allowed 30 min per ride. OK OK i can already hear some of you screaming or is that hysterical laughter, I know that soarin wont be a 30 min wait and ride, but there are some that will only be 10 min or so. ( I am hoping that it all evens out).

Let me know what you think, or if you have an idea, I can always change the plans again lol. Till my next report....

Whoo hoo, My family thinks i am obsessed with Disney. Me? no way :lmao: I thought to pass the time I would go into detail about each days plans. However i think i should give a disclaimer... all plans subject to change at any moment.
Friday, arrival day
I planned to have us get there ASAP, we are both morning people so an early flight wont be a problem. (6:30). Which puts us landing at about 9:30. Not bad, Magical express to the Corranado and we should be there by 11. Check in and in the park by 11:30. I hope. :confused
Our day at Epcot is not really planned out. We do know that his sister is meeting us there with her hubby. We have plans to go to the Mickey Dolez concert, and a dinner res. at Beirgarden Rest. at 7:00ish.
Must do's for Epcot, Soarin, Ellens Energy Adventure, 3 Cabaneros, Maelstrom, Finding Nemo, Mission Space, and Spaceship Earth. Oh and by the way i just today read about Sum of all Fears, hubby will love that.
I also need to meet some certain people, Mexican Donald, Stich and snow white. It looks like we are going "Commando". Hmmm we get there at 11:30 and the park closes at midnight, 12 hours to get 12 attractions in and dinner and a concert. Can it be done? We will find out. :thumbsup2

Sooo... we are about 3 weeks away from our trip, and i've noticed that Hubby hasnt really been excited ( or at least not shown it). I finally found out why last night.
Hubby and I have a ritual we play cards everynight. Usually ending up with me winning. So while we are playing last night and i think i have his attention I begin to go down my mental list of things that we need to do, envelopes for tips set aside, double check bathing suit sizes. The whole time he just "yups" me. (I am starting to feel like Dave Hesters wife from storage wars.) Finally I let him have it, telling him i dont think he is excited about the trip, and how i feel like i should just go alone. He breaks out into hysterical laughter, I mean gut shaking, tears rolling down your face laughter. Then he looks at me and says.."I have been trying sooo hard to not show my excitement just to see what you would do". EXCUSE ME, what did he think i would do. I am going to the happiest place on earth and I feel like i am going with a wet blanket. Well anyway now that the charade is over maybe he will show a little bit of excitement. And no.. to reference the title of this page he is still going. :badpc:
