I have read enough Wedding recaps to know some that some Just Married perks are spontanious in disney due to the CM's in the parks. But I have read about special dinner reservation seating and room upgrades for the entire stay and stuff like that, but I am wondering how you can go about getting the non spontanious ones? Are there codes you have to use or special curcumstances that apply?

if you book at cinderellas royal table and tell them when you make the reservation to mark it as a special occassion "honeymoon" you will more than likely get toasting glasses there...

there are other places like this-- just make sure all your dinner reservations are marked honeymoon or wedding-- etc.

I got the room discounts through AAA and Disneys Codes.... my room upgrade wasnt easy-- DH told them that he had 'heard' that we got a free upgrade-- the clerk spoke with the manager and allowed it but said it wasnt standard.

Just remember room upgrades are perks, too... Those little touches are the magic of Disney. It doesn't hurt to mention its your honeymoon on ressies and ADRs, but don't expect anything, there are a lot of people who honeymoon in Disney and they can't accomodate them all similarly.

Yeah we knew we werent getting the perk-- so DH just flat out asked for it-- and luckily they could upgrade us-- heck i dont mind asking-- the worst you can get is a no. And we got the room upgrade-- so asking only worked in our favor!

The one perk we would love to get that you have was the night cruise. We have also decided like you to stay at the WL but might stay somewhere else our Wedding night if the confirmed guest count makes us get a Wishes wedding and we get a 25 night block.

the cruise was stricktly disney magic-- there was absolutely nothing we did that set us up for that--- other than being late for the boat and being at the right place at the right time.:goodvibes

We honeymooned in Disney World in December, 2006. While we got lots of "Congratulations" from cast members, other perks were few and far between.
No room upgrades, no free meals or snacks, no rides in the parade (though we did see one honeymooning couple riding in the MK parade).
On the night we ate at Tony's our table was decorated with streamers and Mickey confetti. And at Boma, we received a special dessert plate of candies and truffles made by the chefs.
We made sure our ADR's said we were honeymooning and wore the buttons saying the same.
I just don't want you to expect a lot of perks and then be disappointed. We had a great time and were able to create a little Disney magic of our own along the way. My DH is an avid pin collector and gave away several pins to kids who were just starting their own collection. Those moments and the looks on those kids' faces were what really made our honeymoon special!

We got a few perks and a room upgrade at the GF but i wouldnt expect anything. I know many couples who didnt get anything at all and were diappointed.

The perks are wonderful when they happen but it's all by chance. We were lucky, we got to be the grand marshalls in the MK parade, some free desserts and some attractions we got the boat all to ourselves. No room upgrade but I booked exactly what I wanted since it was March and I didn't want to be disappointed in our room.

we honeymooned in October 2006 and we did receive a number of little "perks" :) just make sure you wear your ears or button the whole time. every time i didn't wear my ears i regretted it! i also agree with the pp about making sure your ADR's say that you're honeymooning. we had confetti on our table at a few places... toasting flutes at the castle.... free dessert at the drive-in theater.... we were taken to the very front row of the indiana jones show (even though we were late and it was about to start.... the place was packed but we were escorted to the front!).... we rode in a carriage of one of the CM's at MGM (one of the old hollywood ladies)... lots of congratulations from EVERYONE.... we ran one of the little street games at MK before the parade and got to sit in a VIP section to watch it.... we were taken out of line at AK to ride expedition everest in the front car, and then they took us off the ride and showed us the "control room" and gave us a certificate and let us ride again on the last car............

we didn't expect anything more than congratulations, so everything we got was extra special and a surprise!;)

I know that if you let them know you are celebrating something special, they do some special stuff for you...

During the wedding, we really didn't have too many special surprises. Besides an awesome Honeymoon suite (that was really due to our planner/SM), we got a complimentary extra photo package with Cinderella at CRT and lots of little wands and stars to take home. They were really nice to us!

We got our first big surprise this weekend when we went to celebrate our one month as a married couple at MK. We started talking to a very sweet CM who made lunch reservations for us and asked her about the PPP and what night would be best to go, etc. She left and came back and said she would like to give us two complimentary passes to the Pirate & Princess Party! It was a lot of fun and totally unexpected! She got me teary eyed!

I think the most fun we had wearing the bottons for our wedding (we didn't get to wear them but for a few hours one day when we were in the park) were all the congrats we got from CMs and other park guests!pixiedust:
