Ive heard several people elude to honeymooners wearing wedding-style mickie and minnie mouse hats when walking around so people know they just got married. Where do you get these? At the resorts or somewhere else?

Thanks !

My DH and I ordered ours from Mousesavers.com before our HM. At that time it was the only place to order the Minnie ears on a headband rather than a hat. When we were there 04/04 I didn't see ANYONE else wearing a headband like mine. Several people, even CM's, stopped me to ask where I bought it. When we went back to WDW 12/04 the headbands where everywhere! I recommend them over the hat simply because it stays put. With the hat I would have had to use pins to keep it on but with the headband I didn't have to worry about it! Have a great time!

I don't recall seeing them at the resort gift shops, but you can find them at the Emporium in MK and MouseGear at Epcot, as well as the World of Disney at Downtown Disney.

I think I saw them at Disney's EarPort store in Orlando International Airport; you should check when you land.

I saw them in the 2nd floor gift shop at the Grand Floridian, so that's at least one resort that does have them. But I don't know of any others personally. :)

Does anyone ever wear them for their anniversary? We eloped almost 25 years ago, and planning a very delayed honeymoon in WDW. Also, has anyone worn the "bride's" ears but not the "groom"? I'd love to wear the bride's, but I really don't think I could convince DH to wear his.

1) All the parks have them in the large shop nearest the entry.
. . . MK - The Chapeau (on first Right corner on Main Street)
. . . EP - Mouse Gear (past SE on Left)
. . . MGM - Crossroads of the World (Hollywood Blvd after entry)
. . . AK - The Outpost Shop (on Left just at entry)
. . . DTD - World or Disney
. . . Boardwalk - Character Carnival on the Boardwalk
2) Some, only some, resort shops seem to have them.
. . . mercantile at Deluxe resorts
. . . shops at some Deluxe resorts

We bought our ears from The Chapeau on the first day of our honeymoon 5 years ago. :lovestruc

I have seen people wearing them for their anniversaries. I plan on doing that when one our anniversaries falls during a WDW trip. I plan on taking some gold glue paint and putting the appropriate number of years on the ears part.

Does you DH like attention? If you he does, wearing the groom ears will definitely do that.

You do and wear what you feel is your deal for the trip, been thinking about renewing our vows at Inspiration
Point at the Poly, 35 plus and we're in our 50's and was going to surprise the DW with a set of ears for the both of us. Disney wasn;t there when we got hitched but we have watched numberous weddings at the Poly, attending one wedding at the wedding chapel and got to see our daughter get engaged in front of the MK where she met her fiance, she's getting married in October, taking a cruise and we're meeting the at WDW for 10 night after their honeymoon. Go for it!!

we were there for our honeymoon, and wore them...

we just went there for our 1 year anniversary and wore them too...

they also gave us "happy anniversary" buttons, similar to the "happy birthday" buttons, with bride and groom minnie an mickey on it. we wore those too. they give those out at any guest relations desk in the park. but someone gave us ours when we sat down to eat at a restaurant. since it was noted on our reservation that we were there for our anniversary.

good luck

I got mine in the big Disney store at DTD. I noticed there are two types of ears for girls. One that is like a hat that you'd pin on your head and another that is a headband.

My advice is to go for the headband. You can take it off easy and it keeps the hair out of your face.

The headband is very comfortable..that is the style I had- I think I would have been to hot in the hat style.
Also when we bought our ears the cashier was so friendly..she said to hold on then grabbed the phone and said there was a call for us! I don't want to spoil the surprise for anyone else but it was a very special message!!

I've seen plenty of people on anniversary trips wearing the bride and groom ears.

I think we paid around 35.00 for both sets..give or take, I don't remember the precise price.

Would it be wierd if we buy these for our anniversary trip? I just feel we missed out on some of the fun on our honeymoom trip because we weren't that into disney then. (It really hit us on the last days of our honeymoon)

SkipperBubba pirate: and I got married last Oct. 30 and proceeded to WL for our Disneymoon. We ended up with two sets of ears prior to our trip.
The first set a coworker of mine purchased for us in MK's Main Street hat emporium on her April 2004 trip. I want to say I gave her $30-35 for them. When she got back we realized that the groom's tophat was too small to fit The Bubster's size 8 melon (yes, my DH is quite cranially endowed! ). We ended up purchasing a tophat that did fit him, and having his mother move the ears from the first hat to the second! That's the hat he wore on the plane and at check-in.
The second set came to us at my bridal shower, courtesy of my DBIL (Disnutty). My ears in this set were actually sparkly, sequined ones attached to one of those plastic, over-the-whole-head barettes (you know, the things deely-boppers are attached to--forgive my brain lock on the actual name). Those are the one I wore on the plane and at check-in.
The tophat and veil we didn't wear ended up as part of our wedding cake design! Having gone with a sprawling, multiple cake layout instead of a traditional tiered cake, we were able to incorporate a "centerpiece" of the tophat and veil ears with a ceramic Groom Mickey :groom: and Bride Minnie :bride: . Our guests (all 225 of them) agreed it was lovely, and very "us."
Now, you may have noticed I said we wore our official ears for the plane ride and check-in. For the rest of the trip, for the sake of comfort, we went to custom ballcaps I'd had done. They had "bride" and "groom" embroidered on the front of our respective caps, and our names and wedding date on the back of both. These caps worked just as well as the ears in terms of "advertising" our newlywed status. Everyone noticed them, and we got plenty of congratulations. And as an extra added bonus, they were much easier to deal with on the rollercoasters!
We're contemplating wearing the caps in December on our delayed first anniversary trip!
Cheers,
