And it was a hit! lol. Im only 19 and my cooking skills are usually horrible to start with, but I was determined to get this right.

I followed the recipe on allearsnet and it worked!
My family actually enjoyed it.

Just thought I would let you in on my disney cooking victory. :rotfl:

Yay!! Now let us know the next time you'll be cooking toast again, and we'll all come there to sample. ;)

I just love Tonga Toast, I'll be there next time to sample with sweet maxine! :goodvibes

Good for you! I haven't tried the Tonga Toast, but we love the Wilderness Lodge French Toast. :teeth: It's the same idea but uses blueberries instead of bananas. Yummy!

Piratesmate,

Which restaurant serves the french toast with blueberries? We had it when they used to have a character breakfast at Wilderness Lodge, but now that the character breakfast is gone, I didn't know if they still served it. Thanks!

I suspect it was only at Artist Point, but I'm not sure. When we stayed there in 1999, we ate breakfast at Whispering Canyon & got the skillet most days and it wasn't on the skillet. On our last day we had the character breakfast at AP, but I don't remember getting it then. bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes & waffles I remember - but not the french toast. It's just something we started making here at home when we had a lot of blueberries. Now I have to make it at least every other weekend during BB season. ;)

Thanks for your reply. Now that you say it, I remember it was AP where we had it, too--at a character breakfast. But when we went for the same breakfast a year or two later, they no longer had the blueberry french toast. Then they got rid of the character breakfast altogether. Guess I'll just have to try making it at home.

BTW, I love your picture!

Thanks! I love it too! :teeth: That was our first family trip & we all had a terrific time. I love the reminder every time I log on here....especially since DS has since gotten married. He doesn't stop in nearly often enough to suit me. Of course if I was given the choice, we'd all be sharing the same house! :rotfl: :rotfl: Just kidding - can you imagine living with your MIL?? :earseek: I love DDIL too much to do that to her!
