Can you tell me what buildings are Preferred Buildings? I asked for Standard, but might change it later. Is the River View extra too? Is it 3 or 2 stories? Thanks!

You really don't need to pay extra for a view.....at least that's my feeling. We were in building #2 (which may be a smoking building, at least parts of it) and had a vew of a lovely little courtyard. But really, in the moderates, you tend to leave your drapes closed for privacy anyway. I'd recommend you just book a standard and ask to be near the pool (that will avoid buildings next to the parking lot). Also about three days before you arrive, fax over a room request reiterating the 'close to pool' request. The resort is so small, there really is no such thing as a bad location IMO.

BTW, I loved staying there....loved the boat to DTD, loved the walk over to Riverside, loved being the first stop on the bus

We couldn't resist last week when the AZZ code came out and we booked the POFQ Sept. 25 - Oct. 2. The I found a $118 airfare!! This will be my first time at this resort and I am very excited. My husband has never been to WDW and I haven't been in 7 years. And with the prices who could resist

Yay for you!! We LOVE POFQ! We stayed in blgd #5 last trip (on the 3rd floor so there was no one above us), and thought it was perfect! We're requesting it for the next time!!

We also booked at POFQ from Sept 24-29, for my birthday.... We've never stayed there but gave up a really, really good rate at AKL to stay at POFQ (still cheaper than AKL) based on the many good things we heard on this board. We've stayed at AKL before (concierge) and wanted to try some place new; plus my DH said we'd be disappointed to stay there in a standard room and not concierge.

So, we are looking forward to POFQ.

We booked POFQ for Nov. 5-8. (We'll just miss each other!!)
We have never stayed there before either. I am patiently waiting for AP rates. Last year I got CBR for $84/nite, I hope we do as well this year at POFQ!

I stayed at CBR last year too, with a great rate. I decided to go ahead and make ressies now, that way, when the code comes out I can call and tell them to put it under it.. I am waiting for those "FALL" codes too!

We are booked in POFQ 10/1-10/4 for a short trip over our anniversary. We stayed here 11 years ago on our honeymoon. Very pleasant resort.

We stayed in Bldg 3 w/ a courtyard view (after being put in a parking lot view room in Bldg 4 near the employee bus stop). This year we requested Bldg 2, 5 or 6. I figure this way we are requesting a building not next to the parking lot.

We're patiently waiting for the October codes too.

We stayed there in May for the first time and really liked it! I love the boat to Downtown Disney! We stayed in building 5 I think. Facing the pool. You really couldn't see anything from our 2nd floor room - too many trees in the way, but it was close to the food court and buses.
