I just made this today (Thursday) and have a 950am PS for Monday morning! Can anyone tell me exactly how this works, I know I go to the gate that says character meals, but how early can we show up? Disneyland doesn't open until 10am. Thank you!

Also wanted to let you know I was quoted 23.99/adult and 11.99/child does this sound right?

Show up as early as you want!! I always get to the park SUPER early - as in before the security check points are open so I have always been the first in line for our Minnie's PS.

Pretty good, although we went last year on mother's day!:scared1:

It should be better for you though. I didn't like it as much as goofy's. Although we got to see some really unique characters. We saw Wendy, from PP, Max - Goofy's son, Baloo and King Louie, Piglet in the OLD costume.

I will say one thing, OMELETS!!

If it was me I would get there at 9am :goodvibes
Minnies is my Fav! Balloons characters
and Mickey waffles :thumbsup2
get an inside seat the balloons and characters are a bit slow getting outside.
Have fun :cool1::cool1:

How do the character meals work, you call the number and make a reservation, do I have to give my credit card info over the phone? That always makes me nervous.

You just call and tell them what day you want to go and they give you times that are open. You don't have to give any information besides your name and time you want to be there.

They were open all day Sat and Sun, but I thought we'd do Monday because there should be lower crowds in the parks that day all day and didn't want to lose Sunday morning!

As for being at the plaza inn, I think so, but you know I forgot to ask. This is the same character meal I did as a little girl, I'm super excited! My DS has NO clue what-so-ever that we're even going, let alone having a character meal!

thanks, this one sounds perfect for us, I needed one both for girls and boys, even though my little boy will watch princess movies I dont see him being as excited to meet them at ariels grotto.

This is probably true, plus its quite a bit cheaper too! I'm excited for you guys, have a great time!

You'll love it! We went last week and in the one hour we were there (10:30 seating after an 8am park opening) we had 11 characters come to our table!! We have NEVER, EVER had that many characters in the 10+ meals we have been to. It was wonderful! We saw, Pooh, Tigger, Fairy Godmother, Daisy, Brer Fox, Dale, Minnie, Captain Hook, Rafiki, Gepetto and Max.

Although I do need to add the disclaimer that 2 years ago at Minnie's we only had 4-5 character in the 90 minutes we were at the restaurant. So obviously it all depends on the day.

I didn't see this info, so I'll post it...The gate you enter is on the far LEFT...don't even bother going to any other gate. The CM's there don't seem to know where to direct you (at least the one I asked didn't my first time - I came from the right side so didn't see the breakfast gate). The CM's at the breakfast gate will have a clipboard to check your party off. They'll give everyone a Minnie and Friends Breakfast button (there's more at the restaurant if needed). I love, love LOVE Minnie and Friends and now make it part of every trip so long as I can get first seating. Since I have an AP, I don't get Magic Morning, but if you have a first seating ressie, you don't need MM access. It's very surreal walking down main street with so few people, seeing the park so clean and open. When it's just my dd and me, breakfast can be as quick as 15-20 minutes, since my dd likes the characters at a distance, so I can still enjoy most of MM (for the price of breakfast :rotfl: - dd is still free :cutie:). When you get there, they'll take your picture next to/behind a sign with no character. When they show you the picture to buy, it will have nice photo of Minnie (alone) on one side and your pic on the other. I've always had lots of characters - Minnie, Pooh, Max, Captain Hook, Chip, Dale, Eeyore, Alice, Mad Hatter, Tigger...few I didn't recognize. Have a great time and keep the camera handy. The characters will make several rounds while your eating.

i just read again the you're going Monday to save your Sunday morning...see my note about being able to get in for MM without needing to have a ticket for MM if you have the ressie...it might get you a jump start (don't know if you were already planning MM that day...or want to get up that early!!) :goodvibes

I agree about going as early as possible.

We went last year for a very early seating (I think it was 7:40am on a day the park opened at 9am) and were one of only 3 families in the place. Incredible experience, well worth getting up early!

And yes, you check in at the main gates on the far left (where the exit usually is) and they escort you to the restaurant. Also very cool walking down main street with the stores closed.

When I called to make reservations I was told they only open at the same time as the park. :(
