Ok, everyone inspired me on these boards and I just called Disney to make my first ever PS! Usually I just go with the flow and pick a place and wait, but since this will be my Disney Wedding and Honeymoon some extra planning was needed! I got one PS for the Japan pavillion where they cook in front of you for Friday, November 21st for a group of 8 ( I believe that means we get our own table!) I was also lucky it seems to get a dinner reservation for California Grill on Thursday, November 27th (Thanksgiving), but I could not find out what time the Fireworks will be that night. Does anyone know? I've never been to the CG before and have heard such wonderful things that I'm excited, so I'm sure it will be great no matter if we see the fireworks or not. I'm a bit dissapointed that I couldn't get a PS for Sunday November 23rd at Mama Melroses for a big group for any time! The lady on the phone told me it was because the park was closing at 7 that the restaurant was crowded. Oh well. If anyone else has any ideas or tips, I'm always lurking!

Congratulations on your 1st PS.:p

Were you trying for dinner for Mama Melrose's? If so, I'd try back closer to the date. Perhaps a week or two out. People have been reporting having difficulty getting dinner PSs at some restaurants in MGM until close to the date. We always have lunch there and have no trouble with booking those.

Congratulations on your PS and especially on your upcoming wedding!

I had been trying for weeks to get PS for 7 people and meeting with no luck because there were no tables available. Finally, once when contacting the CRO about a room reservation request, I lucked out with a knowledgable CRO who checked on PS availablity for me. She booked us two tables for four at the same time and told me we should get there 10 or 15 minutes early. They'll put us together but not until they "see the whites of our eyes." So try to book your desired PS's as two tables of four and see if that helps!

Congrats on your wedding!

^ What a great idea with the 2 smaller tables! Sometimes it pays to just "play" the whole system a bit!

Thanks again everyone!
