I just made my dining reservations this morning. I had about a 10 minute wait and that was it. Also, I got everything I asked for. What a relief. Here are my picks:

Chef Mickey's
Ohana's
50's Primetime Cafe
Cape May
Whispering Canyon Cafe'
Crystal Palace (breakfast)

Wasn't nearly as big a deal as I thought it would be. Thanks to all you DISers for all your reviews and advice!

I am considering Chef Mickeys, Crystal Palace and Whispering Canyon. Ok, well Crystal Palace is a must. We loved it the last time. My husband must have eaten 10lbs of the Pooh's French Toast. :rotfl: I hope they still have it on the menu.

Yep, the french toast is still there...one of the main reasons we go to CP every year. We enjoy Chef Mickey's; did not care for WCC and doubt we'll go back unless we try breakfast some time.

OK now you've got me worried about WCC. I hesitated anyway on it because I have no idea how difficult it will be to get there from POR. Thought it sounded fun though and I liked the menu.

It shouldn't be too hard to get there. You can take the bus from your hotel to the Magic Kingdom and then take the boat over to the Wilderness Lodge. We have friends who eat there on every trip. Enjoy:cool1:

Don't worry about anyones negative opinion of a restaurant. Everyone has different tastes, expectations, and etc. I would stick with your plans and go where you want. If I listened to all the reviews about the different restaurants I'd be eating at McDonalds everyday while there.

We're actually kinda sorry about missing the WCC this next trip. It's a family favorite.

But, OP, you're right - moving from resort to resort using Disney transportation can be tricky. But I heartily recommend taking the boat from the MK to WL. It's a fun, pretty ride, pulling up at the WL dock and seeing the lodge looming up behind the trees. It's worth the extra effort.

Agreed. As in resorts, etc., everyone has different tastes, preferences, expectations from restaurants as well. We have gone to three restaurants at Disney that were recommended that we did not care for; we've also gone to three that were recommended that we fell in love with; we've gone to several that people said to stay away from and we absolutely love. It really is a personal thing and if it is something that interests you, by all means try it.

Thanks everyone. I haven't been in 20 years and stayed off property so I don't know how to get around to other resorts very well. You all are right. If it sounds good, give it a try. It's just a meal right?
