I just called Dis dining today for our early May trip and knew it was going to be near impossible to get the classics like Chef Mickey's etc. So here's what I did get and wanted to get everyones thoughts. Also wanted a good suggestion for an entertaining Pooh and friends movie to show my boyfriends 5 year old son... I'm not sure he knows who Pooh is!!! Thanks and suggestions for alternatives are welcome too!

Yachtsman Steakhouse
Crystal Palace - Late breakfast
Sci-Fi - Lunch
San Angelo Inn - Dinner

Looks good.

You will enjoy San Angel Inn. Good food, and the atmosphere is neat. Request a seat by the river. If nice watching the boats float by.

I am going in may as well and i just made ADR's this weekend and i wasable to get into Chef Mickeys but i always choose a later time so it will tide my kids over till dinner. If you really want to go there keep trying sometimes people will cancel or maybe you could try a later dining time. Good luck!!! :flower3:

You can't go wrong with the original Pooh Movie--it has several "shorts" in it that will introduce him to all the Pooh characters: Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Rabbit, Owl, and Kanga.

A more up-to-date movie is Pooh's Heffalump Movie. My boys love it!:rotfl:
Either are a winner.

Yes!!! It's called "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" I love them!

Looks good! Sci-fi for lunch - awesome! The last few years I've been to Sci-Fi for lunch (in May) and every time they've turned away walk-ups. We'll be there this year too, maybe we'll see you there!

good choices, have a great vacation.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I just got of the phone with Dis and still no availability for Chef Mickey's, Ohana, or Whispering Canyon but I'm gonna keep trying!!! Thanks for the Pooh suggestions as well... I hope he likes the characters since we're going to the CP breakfast! One last question... I chose Yachtsman over Concourse b/c I've heard it's much better food and just an overall nicer restaurant, but now I'm starting to wonder if it's worth the 2 TS credits and if the 5 year old (he's the only kid on the trip) is going to be really bored? Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!!!

We've never thought to go there. Is it worth the two TS, or do you pay OOP? TIA! :)

It is 2 credits if you are on the DDP. We have only been on the DDP once (when it was free) and we did not dine at YSH that trip, so I guess I pay OOP for my meals there. ;) But knowing how much we enjoy everything there from the bread and garlic, appetizers & sides, right through the entree it would be worth 2 credits for me.
