Ok, many people have commented about the bus rides and having to fold their strollers. My question is: Do you have to fold your strollers for the monorail and the ferry into MK, as well? :confused3

We are driving in Dec. and considering taking our double Runabout stroller by Berg (which I love!!!) for our twins but it does not fold or collapse. Just wondering if I'd have to bring another stroller for MK.

Also, how much do I need to worry about a $500 stroller "disappearing" at Disney?

I do not fold my stroller on the monorail. I keep the kids in the stroller, it's so much easier for me.

The only time you have to fold your stroller in disney is getting on the buses. I have never had any problems with leaving my stroller. I have never heard of anyone stroller being stolen but we do put luggage tags and always get a balloon and tie it to our stroller. I have a graco chauffer that I have noticed everytime we go there are tons of them that are the same pattern as mine so we try to keep ours from looking the same.

We didn't have to fold the stroller on the bigger boats from MK to WL. We stayed at WL, and some routes had a smaller boat and the stroller had to be folded (boat from WL to CR).

I'm not sure that a double side by side would work on the boats, though. And I would check this for the monorail, too.

I worried about our stroller being stolen, but it doesn't seem to be an issue.

You do have to fold strollers for the parking lot trams, for the train in the MK and on some of the smaller resort launches (like from MK to GF). And on all the buses.

You don't have to fold strollers for monorail, the ferryboat to MK from TTC, and the boats that run from MGM to Epcot. The ferryboat from MK to TTC is plenty large enough for double strollers.

Ahhh, now I had forgotten about the MK train. I suppose we could park the stroller in one of the "lands" and ride all the way around but that would not help if we wanted to use it to get from one place to another. Thanks.

We have twins and always take a double stroller to Disney. The side-by-side strollers fit easily in the handicap section of the monorails. The tandoms fit in any part of the monorail. It has been very important for us to bring a stroller that our twins are comfortable in because we've relied on them to nod off in the stroller whenever they need to. So that is top priority for us. Also, I didn't see where you're staying, but obviously the most convenient places to stay are either the Epcot resorts (walk and/or boat to both Epcot and MGM) or the monorail resorts (monorail to MK and Epcot).

we take our triple RA and LOVE having it at WDW. as others have pointed out, it doesn't work on some of the smaller boats, parking lot trams, MK train, or buses, but it slides right on to the monorail (tight fit, but it works) and the MK ferry is no problem.

we drive to the parks, or take the monorail when possible. in the parks, i generally don't worry about leaving the stroller, but we do have a chain and lock which we loop around the frame and front tire for when we know we will be leaving the stroller in 1 spot for a while OR when we have the stroller parked right up near the front of the park ( when we board the MK train on main street, for example) . this way, the stroller can be moved by CMs, but can't be strolled away! not neccessary, i'm sure, but nice peace of mind!

have fun!

Just read the post from the mom with the triple runabout. My daughter, son-in-law and triplet grandaughters are going to Disney in Oct. We will be taking their runabout. I would love to contact you, as I have many questions traveling with 3 two year olds. Any ideas on how to get from the airport to the Shades of Green resort in Disney? We would need a large van or something because the stroller does not collapse. The Shades of Green does not provide transportation to the Magic Kingdom as do the other property resorts. Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks
