Oct 2012 - It's been 15 yrs since our last solo trip. We've made some signature ADR's and plan to "eat our way around the world" like we did a few years ago. Has anyone done the EPCOT "UnDISCOVERed Future World" tour? We did the "Disney's Magic Behind Our Steam Engines" tour 3 years ago and loved it. Also, any other suggestions for a couple of 60 yr olds (that become 8 yr olds) everytime we are at WDW?

My DH and I are going on our own for the first time this Aug! If you have never seen La Nouba in DTD and you want to splurge on the tickets I would highly recommend it. We always love it! We are going to try Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk for the first time this year it sounds like a lot of fun for adults. Have a great time!

If you like EPCOT I highly recommend their Segway Tour. I have been on it twice now and loved it both times. My DB and I went on the early tour both times and there were only a small handful of us. We explored the countries before the rope dropped so we got wonderful pics and had a blast zipping around on the segways not having to worry about other guests.

Whatever you do, enjoy your trip!! :earboy2:

I just read in All Ears.net's weekly newsletter..that they are discontinuing the segway
tours in July.

We have been to Jellyrolls in the past and will definitly go again, great suggestion. La Nouba is a maybe and sorry to hear about the segway tour ending.

I believe only one is being discontinued, the 3 hour tour which takes you to the rides in EPCOT. I believe the rest (EPCOT & Fort Wilderness) are still active. I may be wrong, but the last I read only the "Nature-Inspired Segway Tour" was ending July 3, 2012.

My husband and I will be going on our first "couple only" trip this May! It's part of our 30th anniversary celebration!! :)

2004: Fort Wilderness (tent trailer)
2008: Fort Wilderness (trailer)
2011: Fort Wilderness (trailer)
2012: off-site, short trip, first "couple-only" WDW for 30th anniversary!! :)

We are leaving for a couples only trip in 9 days :) While our city fills with KY Derby celebrants, we will be in the Happiest Place on Earth. Perfect timing if you ask me!

Next year, maybe we will rent out our home which is 15 minutes from Churchill Downs and squeeze in another trip :rolleyes1

Tours that I have done that I recommend:

- Steam Train Tour
- Keys to the Kingdom
- Epcot Segway Tour
- Fort Wilderness Segway Tour

If your signature is correct, it looks like you'll be down in Mid-October, which may be the best time of the year. You should spend plenty of time in Epcot enjoying the Food/Wine Fest. The Epcot F&W Fest is a main reason I travel back to WDW almost every October. Around July or August they should start listing the F&W event schedule. Also, depending on when you arrive, you may be able to catch the Swan/Dolphin Food&Wine Classic. This only takes place one weekend during the F&W fest:

Ther are other small things to check out like booking the Wishes Dessert party in the MK. Also it's fun just catching the fireworks one night from the Poly beach while enjoying your favorite drink.

We are doing the "Undiscovered Future World Tour on May 16th". We can post our experience for you. We love to walk the world and take in all the entertainment, sights, food and drinks. We always love to do the little boat ride in mexico followed by dinner at San Angel Inn. I also love the American Adventure...it makes me tear up every time...can't forget figment and Turtle Talk with Crush :-)

We like to do the Kidcot coloring*, Innovations activities, Akershus with the princesses, glitter hair at the barbershop, photopass pictures all over the place, postcards home at Spaceship Earth, Behind the Seeds was really fun (and informative; but mostly fun), making a dinosaur at T.Rex are some of the fun things we like
*BTW, before anyone jumps on me for Kidcot I have asked repeatedly if it's o.k. for adults and always receive a smile accompanied by a yes

Have a fantastic trip!
