Okay Cat. 4 vets - just how noisy are those cat 4 rooms directly under Topsiders? Is it really bothersome and what time does the noise start in the am and end in the pm? Those of you who have experienced it - was it enough to say never again?

We had a Cat 3 under Topsiders last year and there is alot of noise early in the morning. sometimes as early as 5 A.M. the heavy chairs are banging and scraping over your head. Although, it served as my wake-uo call and we booked it again this year.

We sailed in Oct 02 in room 8084 on the Wonder. We heard some noises about 6am of chairs being moved about, however the location of this room was so ideal for us ( directly below the drink station and very proximal to elevators and the deck 9 and 10 activities) that we re-booked it for our trip on the Magic last week (17may03). This time either their was no noise or we slept right through it . As far as this location goes for cat 4 rooms we think it is awesome!

I also have been in a Cat. 3 under Topsider's and aside from the early morning chair scraping it was fine. :) WAY better than the noise under the Goofy Pool stage.

Good morning hulagirl.

Sorry I didn't post earlier, but I was trying to ease a migraine from all the noise coming from Topsiders...

On our first cruise, we had category 4 stateroom 8042. It was relatively quiet - until you flushed the toilet. On our upcoming cruise we will again be in a category 4. 8042 was taken - darn - so we opted for a stateroom toward the bow. Would rather be under a section of the spa area rather than Topsiders.

Wishing you a terrific cruise...

Good morning BD! Sorry about your migraine;) I wish you a wonderful cruise too.
In the end we decided on connecting Cat. 5 rooms midship. (No Cat 6 connecting or Cat.3 were left) Decided we'd like the little guys to have their own room so we can have a little privacy. I can't imagine a cruise without....well, 'nuff said:p
