Just how irritating is the It's A Small World song ?

The first time our friend came with us to WDW, she asked what IASW was like, so we showed her the video. She lasted about 90 seconds after the music started before pleading with us to turn it off :rotfl2:

I feel her pain Kath :rotfl2:

I didn't actually used to mind the song, but the ride is just a bit too long for the very short repetitive little chorus.

Len Testa was right when he said "This is your brain on drugs!" :lmao:

As for you Isobel, we'll have our payback for what you've done to our peaceful Wednesday night :rotfl:

That is classic. Poor guy! Think he deserves every penny of that.

Surely someone could of turned off the music. Modern day torture

It does make me laugh when cartoons like Simpsons or Family guy go to Disneyworld their always end up on some sort of its a small world ride!

My dd loves it she has since she was about 6 months. I don't mind it. Too me its Disney and if they were to ever get rid of the ride I'd be gutted.

I love Disney lands version all the Disney characters are in the lands.

Lol the kids love it, it has one of those stuck in your head song qualities where you find yourself humming it wondering what the hell your doing while standing at the checkout line in sainsburys......:rotfl:

could I sit on that ride for 30mins listening to THAT song...? For $8000 you bet I could:rotfl:

Its annoying but a must do for me too!

That guy was lucky, at least he had entertainement while he waited ... seems like each time I get stranded on a ride (and I've been a few times) the audio is the first thing that quits after the ride stops ...

If you find the IASW song boring, try sitting in Splash Mountain, just below the 3 possums hanging by their tails, with no music, only to hear the loud clicks of the animatronics ... now that's painful.

And I agree, for $8000 I'd gladly listen to the song for half an hour ... actually I would even WORK for less than this amount ... errr ... actually I think we all do work for less than $16.000 per hour ... :) :) :)

You know what after I'd finished laughing the next thing that sprung to mind was "only in America" :scratchin

I make my family go on this ride every time, it wouldnt be the same if we didnt. Even if the song is irritating as heck!

I know a certain ex-DISer who used to have the song as her ring tone. I'm pretty sure she doesn't any more but it used to drive me mad when her phone rang as it was stuck in my head all day. Hmmm, maybe I can sue her..:scratchin

Haha, did you inflict that on one of your children? Surely that could be considered a case of child cruelty :rotfl2:

Oh very definitely yes I did  I figured it was time to get my own back on having put up with them for the last 17 years :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Stuck for 30 mins - that's nothing! I was stuck there for an hour when we were last there because an amazing tropical storm!! :rotfl2:

There was forked lightning over the top of the castle - pretty spectacular.

And strollers were getting washed down the path in the torrential downpour.

Went on it for the first time last year and couldnt stand it. When we got home my dad thought it would be a good idea to have that tune as our doorbell
