just how do you rent a DVC reservation?

just how DOES one go about renting a reservation thru a DVC member for a villa, anyway? (please explain as "step-by-step" as you can as I need the "how-to 101 version"). Thanks!

One thing to remember is that DVC members make their reservations 7-11 months out. So you can't expect to make a DVC reservation just a month or two out. There is the rare chance it might happen, but more than likely, you won't get anything. Christmas time is already getting booked up. Thanksgiving, too. And DVC busy times don't correlate with CRO busy times.

Another thing. You are renting a reservation from an individual, so they are not a travel agent and they are not Disney. They set the rules for the rental. And if you have any problems with the reservation, Disney will not get involved in any way. You won't be able to confirm the reservation with Disney and you won't be able to add ME or DDP yourself. Only the member will be able to do that.
