Ok I've checked out all the dates.

I'm planning on going to DLP for the very 1st time on 7th April for 4 nights.

I beleive the French have 3 different school holdiay zones and 1 zone is off then (the bigger zone)

In England only certain parts of the country are on school hol's then (mostly the south) Most of the north are off at the end of March when it is Easter bank hol's.

How busy is April generally. I am worried about going during school hol's and don't want to spend half our time queuing for rides!!

Any advice would be great.

Great minds think alike !

We aregoing 14th April for the very same reasons and hoping it won't be as busy !

Have you booked yet? If so where, when and with whom ! I am currently doing lots of web searching to try and find the best prices so any help would be apprciated.

We are not going the cheapest way. It's our first family trip abroard and I'm nervous so we are going by coach with Leger. We are planning on going for 4 nights staying in the Sequoia lodge. It is £1068 for 2 adults, 2 children.

I did look into going by Eurostar from St pancras but the journey to st pancras first thing in the morning was near impossible with no trains leaving early enough from home to get there. If it was Waterloo still I wouldn't have a problem!!

Let me know how your planning goes.

I would still be interested to hear from anyone that has been to DLP in April too.

We have been for the last 2 Aprils and it was VERY busy however both times coincided with Easter when most of Europe seemed to be off school.
This year was busier then last year but again it was the start of the 15th celebrations and under 7s Free.
We are going again for a few nights during next Easter Hols (March) but hoping it wont be quite as busy as French schools arent off and also some English schools.

That seems very expensive! You could book your own flights and then book the hotel though Disney for alot cheaper than that.

I checked the hotel price through disney and it was £713. I figured an extra £300 or so to go by coach wasn't too bad. As it will be my first trip I am a bit nervous about booking flights etc myself. Maybe next time!!

we were there last april from the 16th to the 26th. only 2 or 3 days were busy and only one was mad. even then there were rides with no lines - pirates, small world and haunted mansion among them.you can tell at 10 am if it will be busy. use your extra magic hours as it's much quieter then. last april some were evening and some were morning.

From what I can see in our school hols this year (7th-20th April) part of the UK will be off school, part of France but not Germany or Belgium.

This should (in theroy) make the parks a bit quieter .... will have to try and find out about Spanish hols ....

It would appear that the majority of the Spanish school hols are in march this year to coincide with the early easter holidays.

Not sure how much of an affect this will have on the parks.

Does anyone know the % of tourists attending (ie predominately French, English, Spanish etc)

I'm sure you've covered this, but have you checked that your tickets cover all 3 days in the parks and not 2 days and a Paris excursion.
I know that's what they did this year.

I need to double check this but the new brochure says something about all 2008 departures including hopper tickets throughout the stay. I know for this years it only includes 2 days park tickets.

Thanks for reminding me to check this out.

Fingers crossed that it includes park tickets for everyday, I know I was really surprised that they didn't give you the option of either excursion or additional day's tickets on the 4 night tour, that would seem fairer to me.
