Just how busy is early May?

We will be going May 7 - 11 (Monday - Friday) and we are just wondering how big the crowds will be. I am trying to glean all the info I can off this boards regarding strategies to deal with crowds, acquiring fast passes etc, but am wondering how many of them we'll actually need to use. What about RIDEMAX - would it be helpful/necessary. What strategies or tips really should be paid attention to for early May. Thanks so much everyone for all the useful info on these boards!

It will be slow. I would plan to use FP to shorten the waits on some major rides but they may not be nessecary.

I wouldn't waste time on ridemax.

It's possible Carsland will be open and that could bring in crowds. Pay attention to this as you trip nears.


What i would really suggest is staying longer or arrive earlier. Since it's a slow time the hours are short and night shows may be limited to Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.

I was there the first week of May this year and it wasn't bad. Some fastpass machines were closed because of low crowds - Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder.
