Just HOW bad was WWoHP that first summer?

When WWoHP originally opened, I was there that June so you can imagine it was STOWED.. 3 hour waits for olivanders, restaurants and 5 hour wait for FJ so I, a HUGE HP fan, didnt get to fully experience it :(

I am going next August/ September for 2 weeks and doing USO and WDW with my best friend who is an even bigger HP fan than me! So my question is, when the IoA part of HP opened, was September more busy than usual? I know no one can predict how busy it will be next September but just wanted to try compare it to the last opening :) can I expect IoA and the Studios to be busier than another typical September which is a well known low crowd time to go?

Thanks in advance :)

We were there the beginning of October the year it opened we waited about 45 minutes to an hour for fj and I know that section was more crowded than the other sections. I returned July 2011 and it was a completely nightmare.

I'm sure it will be busier than normal but September is usually one of the slowest times of the year....so it will still be less busy than the summer.

I went in late August of 2010 and waited I think 15/20 minutes for FJ at the very end of the day. In the morning at opening it was 90!

Guys, these are the responses I was hoping to get LOL!! Not as worried now, of course we won't know until the actual time, but just wanted a heads up :)

Thank you :)

In the first month or so, running well into August there was a 4 to 7 hour line just to get into WWHP. It was Ok late at night but during the day, unless you were a hotel guest with early entry privileges it was crazy. That being said. With everyone else in line for WWHP, the rest of the park was easy to get round LOL:rotfl:

We went in August 2011 and I felt it was no busier than anywhere else. We ate in the Three Broomsticks with a less than 10 minute wait. I don't know what the ride times were like as we chose not to go on them (we had our 17 month old DD with us) but there was a 60 min queue for Olivander's.

We'll be there for the first 2 weeks in August next year and I'm really dreading it being like the initial opening as I'll be really disappointed if I don't get to see the new stuff.

But we're getting 14 day tickets, so if it is really bad we can always go back at night.

Was thier twice these past 2 weeks, and 45 mins was the longest que we saw for FJ with it being walk on later in the day. You should be fine with sep / oct.

Sorry for this question....we went over the summer so I haven't been keeping up with my Universal trivia! Is the expected/project roll out date for new ride September?
