Please excuse the rumpled kids who need a bath and gold fish crumbs, lol. I can see I'm going to have to learn my color all over again. I'm not sure how to do the crops (where it doesn't add noise) so I'm just going to post them big. If anyone wants to explain how to do a proper crop for this sort of thing I'll do some crops. No sharpening, just super quick processing.

Woo hoo!

I plan on throwing the 28-75 on and putting it through it's paces today, experimenting with higher ISO. I grabbed a couple of hubby at ISO 3200 last night and well, I'm blown away. He would not appreciate them posted though, lol! Anyway I should have some this afternoon and hopefully groomed kids!

Love the pics Wen ... and I say .. don't groom the kids for the pics, I just love the goldfish dust on them and the fact that you can plainly see it!! ... the crumbs keep the candids real !! LOL

You know sometimes I get caught up in other photography boards where a candid or snapshot is considered an insult and feel like I need to apologize for pics of my favorite subjects. You are so right. In a few years I will cherish every crumb! (and hubby and I were both, WOAH at how clear they are) Thank you. (note, children groomed, house not so much)

I'm really, really struggling with color/white balance. I remember having this issue when I got the D90 so hopefully I'll find my stride soon.

Sorry I'm not posting higher ISOs, I will I swear. They look fab just not great pics. Hopefully I will get some time to do a 'controlled' experiment.
