Congratulations to you. I know how excited you are about being a CM. It is something to be very proud of. You will love going to WDW as a CM, great discounts and you really just feel special when you are there as a CM.

Yes you do get the DVC discount as a part-time CM. Can you talk to your Guide and maybe delay your purchase? The discount would make it worth the headache of redoing everything.

Thanks again everyone! Yes, I will be working at the store right near my house. I did call me guide and my add-on was scheduled to close yesterday. Oh well, I am still really excited to be working there and I didn't get the job for the discounts, they are just icing on top of the cake. We go to WDW in 10 days and I can feel like I am really part of the Magic!

That is great! I was actually considering getting a part time job there just this week. I am a full time mom and am working on my master's but I thought maybe I could work there at night or on weekends. I love everything Disney so I know I would love the job. Congrats!

marksniles.... others on this thread have answered the discount question, but as far as the plate goes. In Michigan you can order a license plate with whatever you want on it (within reason) as long as no one else has it. You just go to the local Secretary of State and they double check if anyone else has it and then they order it for you and ship it in a couple of weeks.

Not to be a spoilsport, but last time we looked at this you basically had to be very flexible and very available during the Christmas shopping season. That not be true and might be to keep the applications to those really serious about working there, but it pretty much killed the idea for us since a trip in December was planned.

Way to go, we also have a Dis plate it is GON2WDW. I think it is great that you will be working at the "Store" as we call it. We often take day trips to Sommerset, 12 oaks and Laurel Manor, so maybe we will see you there, or when we are both at BCV.

right now is a really good time to use the cm discount for an add-on at SSR; I didn't really realize how good it was until after we had done it - they take the 15% off the $89, then take the $10 discount second. So it works out to $65 and some change per point.
