Okay, I know that this probably isn't the right place to post this, but I just had to share with my DVC friends. Although, I do work full time as an Internet Programmer/Developer, I have the wonderful opportunity to work from home so I have a very flexible schedule. Soooo.... I decided to go up to our local Disney Store and apply for a part-time job. Well.... they called my yesterday and told me that I have the job. I am soooo exicted. I am now a Disney Store CM!. I have to go up there sometime this week and pick up a package of stuff and fill out some paperwork.

On a complety different subject, I just got my new license plate in the mail. So if anyone from MI sees a license plate that says DVC BCV, its me!

I think that CMs get discounts, don't they??? Maybe you can get more points at a discounted rate????

Gail I have Louisiana "DVC OKW". Maybe we can start an exclusive club for DVC OKW plates - can only be one member from each state. LOL.

I remember reading a recent article in the Chicago Tribune about Disney selling the stores to another corperation, and that they would be closing some/all of the stores soon. I can't remember if it was another manaagement corperation that would manage the stores as is, or if they would be closing stores and reopening them as something else?? My wife asked about this at our Disney store and the CM there said they were waiting until after the first of the year to make any anouncements.

Anyone else heard about this? I haven't checked the news and rumors boards lately...Johnnie

I don't know if this is good or bad news, but you DO get 15% off of your DVC purchase as a part time CM (at least you did when we bought in).

My understanding is all CM get the discount, part time or not.
