Just had a wonderful convo with MS!

I just had to call in to MS to update a name on my upcoming ressie for Feb 6th and had a chat with Mia. She was absolutely friendly! We talked for a good ten minutes about a few different things I thought you all might like to read about. I mentioned to her that I'd read on the boards that the parks are listed as 7's and 8's on touringplans.com and she said she had rescheduled TONS of vacations from December to that week and the week after when our Northern states got the big snow storms. She was telling me how insane it was to have to cancel so many DVC vacations and that most people had to take these Feb. weeks because they said it was the best time frame for them to take the kids out of school because finals would be over, nothing major would be missed in sports or things like proms, etc. and many get the week off already up North (I'm in MD so it's still up North to me.) She said that 6th-12th is usually nice, but she thought it would be more crowded so she checked availability in all the resorts for me anyway - she found some sun - thurs SV studios at AKV for that week, she had plenty at OKW and SSR - I think it should be a nice week! Anyway, the point of my post is she was extremely wonderful to chat with and she helped ease my mind by taking the time to look around the resorts to see how full they'd be. I like it when they go the extra mile and are friendly! I'm overly excited! She told me to call back and ask for her to tell her whether we like May or Feb. better too!

I wonder if it is the lady I got once about a year or so ago. This lady was older and sooooooooooo sweet. She talked to me a long time too. She really made a nice impression.

I've been a member over 10 years and can only think of a couple instances when I've had a problem with member services. The one time wasn't a case where they weren't friendly, I just knew she messed up my reservation and couldn't resolve it so I called back (she borrowed points when she should not have). The rest of the time they have been so friendly.

I have been lucky not to have ever had a bad experience, but this one was quite chatty and extra friendly. I'm guessing she could have had a slow day today which allowed her to take the "extra" time with me, but I like that she did look up the resort bookings to see how crowded the looked for that week. This girl was a little bit younger sounding.
