Just had a bad case of "Holiday Word Vomit"..

Ugh. My family is in town and my aunt just made a pretty nasty comment about dying children in Africa that were on TV... and something convicting (okay, and maybe not so nice..) slipped out of my mouth before I could stop it...

Oh, the holidays and the drama. Now, she's furious and everyone is on edge. Oops. I really didn't mean to start anything-- just days and days of holding it all inside, then hearing her stupid comment, and there went the word vomit.

Anyone else trying to bite their tongue this year (successfully or not..)?

LOL.. I had a situation yesterday/last night that it's amazing I didn't bite my tongue off entirely.. But - I refuse to be miserable (or buy into the misery of anyone else) - I choose to be positive, not negative - and I made it through a good 6 hours of tongue-biting before heading off to bed without being sucked into a non-festive situation..

If biting your tongue is proving to be difficult, there's always duct tape.. You can even purchase it in a very festive dark Christmas green!!

And, to the duct tape comment! I think I need some.. good news there are festive colors!!

I feel bad about what I said but hey, maybe I can justify this whole situation by saying that she "needed to hear it!"..
