We've really had nothing but great things to say about priceline. We've used it in Orlando multiple times. Recently, they graciously refunded our money when we were supposed to be in Orlando during the hurricanes. We used priceline in Windsor ($35 for a 2.5* condo) and during the Christmas period we got a 4* hotel in Niagara Falls for $40. Amazing! On the hotel's website, the same basic room would cost $149.99! Even with the exchange rate, we're still paying less than half price. We've also had success in Ottawa (2 star hotel for $22). Have you had similar great experiences? Just wanted to spread the joy! ;)

I used priceline a couple of years ago (stayed at the Wyndham Resort and Spa) using a Visa card but then they changed it to only accepting Mastercard for Canadians. Does anyone know if that is still the case?

I used Priceline for a hotel in St Louis for my cousin's wedding - it was 1 minute away from the hotel she had her reception at! $40/night for a 3-star - not the best price in the world, but the rack rate was around $149 US!

Sandy22, I had to use a Mastercard as well - it didn't take Canadian Visas!

We have used PL for Orlando for the past two trips, have nothing but good to say about our experiences, trying to use them again this year but have had no luck so far. I will keep trying. I got an American Express card for this purpose and have never had a problem with it. Didn't have great luck in Bangor Maine. Got a room but not a good one for a 3*, also paid more than a coupon rate that I could have got.

We have used Priceline numerous times also. We are going to Orlando in March and got Whyndam Resort in Int'l drive for $36.00. Marriott World Centre a few years ago for $48.00, the Hyatt (now closed) twice for $30.00 and $35.00. We stayed at Les Suites in Ottawa for $33.00 this summer, and when we drive to Florida we use them for cheap hotels along the way. We have never had a problem. I don't know that we would travel as much as we do if it weren't for Priceline. :D

We have an American Express also just for this purpose because our Visa doesn't work but my friend has an NBNA (not sure if that is correct) Mastercard and she uses it on priceline without problems.

We've used Priceline many times. The best was last year when we got the WDW Swan for $70!!! We also got the DD Hilton for $65. We've used it in Miami, Daytona Beach and we just got back from Disneyland today where we got the Radisson in Anaheim for $32 and Radission LAX for $52!
I always recommend PL for anyone who is slightly flexible about where they stay, you can't go wrong!
