We only live a couple of hours from Disney World in Florida and just decided last week we would celebrate our anniversary in May by a once in a lifetime booking at Victoria and Alberts. We were able to make a dining reservation for late Sunday, May 25 since Monday is a holiday for us. I then checked availability for studios so we wouldn't have to drive all the way home and was surprised to find one at Boardwalk and booked it (no other DVC resort had any studios at the time, including OKW and SSR). Today I checked again online and lo and behold a standard studio was available at VGF for the night of our reservation at Victoria and Alberts, so member services helped me change to that resort with no problems. (I did have to borrow a few points, but what the heck). There was not even a long wait on the phone for member services which also surprised me. Now we can just walk over to dinner in our "dress up" clothes and even share a wine paring without worrying about driving. Thinking this might be a good time to buy and try the TIW dining card since it is still good at V & A until August 1. I'm feeling very lucky and excited!
