Just got our planner!!!!

Hello again everyone. I am happy to report that we just got our wedding planner...Karen Serrette. We have not yet spoken with her but we received a general email from her this afternoon. Is it normal to correspond thru email and not by phone? Has anyonelse had Karen? Also, she said in her email that we should have already received a link to our wedding website, but we have not. We tried adding our last names to the link suggestion but that did not work. Any suggestions?

We got our planner, too! Ours is Karen Heyn. She called me on Tuesday to introduce herself and to confirm our Planning Session on July 20th. I'm super-excited!!

Congrats to both of you on getting your planners!

It's completely normal to talk to your planners primarily by email - I've found it to be easier than playing phone tag constantly with them! And it's easy to refer back to something in my email than to remember something over the phone. So I think planners like to do it that way. Just my two cents!

Congrats on getting your planner! I found it was easier to communicate by email. I could print out the emails and keep them as a reference for later.

Hello again. I spoke with Karen for the first time a few hours ago and I am not impressed at all. We just seemed to clash from the start. Some of the things that she said did not make me feel comfortable and I do not want to deal with her any further. I felt as if we were a bother to her. After our conversation I did place a call to the main office and requested that she be replaced with someone else. Has anyone else requested that their planner be changed? I feel horrible to complain but I would rather the change be made now before we get too far along and everyone involved develops an attitude with each other.

Honestly, I don't feel comfortable saying things about planners in a public forum, but if you want to talk in PM or email, I do have some thoughts on your situation.
