Just got my card!!!

I bought resale and received my members guide today. Will I receive a temporary member card before the permanent card or is that only for members who buy directly from DVC? I'm worried because I want to buy the discounted APs and activate them in early may; and I understand I will need to show my member ID card to get the discount.

Don't worry...you'll be packin' that famous blue card just like everyone else. We also bought via resale and received our membership cards just a couple of weeks after we closed escrow. I do recall some posts in the past where it took others longer to receive theirs, so you might want to call MS if they don't arrive soon.

This seems like a good place to post this:
I was set to close March 30 but actually sent in the money March 20 by wire, so expected a quicker closing. Nothing on the 30th so I emailed both the title company and my broker....Seems the seller didn't get papers notarized properly, but it wasn't until my email that things finally got Fed Exed . So deed transfer isn't until Monday. JEEZ. Anyway, the broker said that she would expedite the Disney stuff....so I am hoping that I get everything before my May trip!!!!!!

I am NOT a patient person when I take great pains to facilitate things getting done on time. Drives me nuts. At least it seems it matters not resale or Disney Direct....patience is required! Here's hoping I get something sometime in the next year or so! LOL

So this is unusual? I just figured they must put the date of the original purchase (from DVC) of this contract on all resale member ID cards. Anyone else who purchased resale has a card that identifies a date that does NOT coincide with the date you actually became a member?

Sorry, I forgot yours was a resale. I'm still kinda new and trying to figure all this stuff out in my pooh brain.
