I'm so excited and have to share...(Webmasters, I've posted this on cruise forum too, so if you need to move me..:goodvibes)
We're going on the Magic Oct 8-15, and I've been looking at Priceline, Orbitz, Hotwire, etc. Today, Last Minute Travel came out with deals. So I got Hilton, 2 rooms for our precruise!!! So excited and wanted to share so others could try!!

Good luck everyone!

Thanks for the tip! I just booked with them too for September! I just pray they are legit as I have never used this company before & with it being 7 months out it makes me a little nervous! Have you ever used them before?

Hi! I actually used them two years ago. They had a huge promo and I won a trip. It was all verified. About a month before, I had to cancel my trip and I was worried I had not made the cancellation cut off, but I did.
And when I got a 1099, I knew I had cancelled in time, called them, and all was taken care of. So, yes, I was pleased then. So hopefully, we'll be pleased in a few months. I did see where someone had gotten a hotel that was in the middle of construction and were not made aware of it, and I understand their demise. However, this being the Hilton, I think we are ok. I did verify their charge today with my cc company, and then verified it with them. Closer in, I'll verify it with Hilton, and make sure all is ok.
Hope this helps as I'm still excited. If I hear anything or learn anything new, will be sure to post!

Enjoy your vacation!

Thanks so much! That makes me feel better that you have used them before. I read some mixed reviews when I googled them. I am THRILLED to get this hotel at his rate! I checked Hilton's website & the rate they are quoting is $219 per night. :cool1: What a steal!! Thank you again for sharing your discovery! I hope you have an incredible time on your vacation & cruise!!

Thanks so much! We've only got what...9 more months to go...teehee!!

But we are so excited and hoping all goes well!

Thanks for the info. I've been trying to decide if we should stay here for half our trip. Gonna check out the website mentioned. Hope u have a great trip! Were going the week before you.

:thumbsup2awwww...Have a fun trip! If you need any helps before booking, pm me! And if you do stay there, let us know what you thought!

:woohoo:

Congratulations! We stayed there last summer and loved it.

Did you know it was Hilton when you booked it or was it one of those where you have to guess which hotel you're getting?

I've had two good experiences with LMT so far. Occasionally they even have Disney properties (loved it when I found a "secret" hotel that listed Everything Pop food court in the description and another that mentioned Maya Grill LOL). We've also found the Swan/Dolphin. I booked the DTD Hilton through them simply because it was the cheapest for the weekend we went, and we had absolutely no problems. Last summer I also booked a stay in DC - I got a $400/night room for under $150. We just used them again for an upcoming trip to Canada.

There IS a $25 cancellation fee for any ressie - I had to do that once, but our customer service rep was super-easygoing - no pressure to rebook with them or anything! I was just happy that we could cancel - so many of the discount sites say no refunds.

MarthaJr -- you don't know which it is until you book. HOWEVER, there are very easy ways to figure out which hotel it is most of the time. They show the area on a map and give a thorough description... Google the restaurant names and/or the number of rooms with the word "Orlando" or "Disney" and see if anything comes up that seems to be a match.

Yes I did, and here's how. When you look at the tabs, they have the descriptions (which in reality match up to a hotel's description most of the time). Then look at the 'photos' tag. I looked at the photos, read the description, googled DTD area hotels, and found the one with 7 restaurants, at least 10 floors, and the photos matched theirs perfectly!!!

So excited and think we got a great deal!! I even got my hotel ressie number straight from the Hotel after I emailed them and asked. So, we're pumped!

Good luck and hope you get a great hotel!

Thanks for the tip. Just for kicks I checked it out for our dates over Easter and all the WDW properties are coming up at about $50 less per night than if you booked with Disney. LMT is a nice website that I will add to those that I frequent to look for cheap hotel rates. It seriously has become a bit of a compulsion for me to see just how cheap I can get a very nice vacation for! :thumbsup2

Still too expensive for me to stay at POP over Easter for $176/night---what a ripoff! But it was funny to see all the pictures of those well known WDW resorts and still they say it is a mystery hotel. LOL! I did also see the Hilton at $103/nt. for our dates which I may consider for 1 night if we decide to do a Disney day so I can get the extra magic hours.

As of now our trip is an offsite Universal/Discovery Cove and then off to St. Pete Beach trip. :cool1:

I'll keep checking from time to time before we go....you never know when a great deal may show up. :wizard:

Rembember to become a 'member' of those sites! I get special emails all the time from Priceline, LMT, Hotels, Airlines, etc. This way, when their going to do a promo, you'll be one of the first to know! That's how I got LMT so cheap this time..got an email!

Have a great trip!

what is the website you are using?? I found one LMT one but the rates were much higher than expedia. We are looking for one hotel February 27 for one night near Downtown disney or Magic Kingdom...any ideas??

It's lastminutetravel.com. I was able to book Hilton Bonnet Creek for $78 per night! They have fantastic rates on their site! Good Luck!!

Does anyone know if UK users can book through the USA site? The rates seem much cheaper than on the UK one!
x

I had used hotwire to book a stay for my birthday in May - 4 nights Sheraton Vistana - very happy with this resort as it has a kitchenette but I did really want to try the Hilton Bonnet Creek. So I went to lastminutetravel.com and booked two nights at the end of our stay at the Hilton Bonnet Creek $80/night - with taxes $184 for two nights total. Really happy I get to try both resorts!:) That is just about a rate you would get with priceline!

I don't see why you couldn't book on the US website - at least worth a try. I live overseas and book on other country's websites for a variety of purposes! I know Americans can book on the uk expedia site.

just wondering if all the hotel names are always hidden? is it always a guess where you are staying? how can I guarantee it will be a suite and not just a hotel room??

Hi! Not sure you really could 'guarantee' it'll be a suite. BUT if you look at descriptions and it says "all suite hotel" or you see pictures that have two rooms, then it probably will be. The one thing you have to remember with these 'hidden' sites is that there is NO guarantee about the rooms. However,
I checked out the description, looked at the photos, matched both up with the Hotel's website, and was sure it was that.
Only if I noticed that somewhere in the description that it said our 'suites', would I think that it would be an 'all suite' hotel. But that's only my opinion.

When I booked our rooms, I also contacted the hotel, requested 2 beds in each room and they verified it!

Hope this helps!

lol thanx for the hint, i've skipped over this booking site several times over the years, cannot believe i never bothered to click on the photos:guilty:

did a search last night & up popped the POP icons for one of the hotels

hope we can find a deal this summer pre or post cruise

questions

*if there are 'hidden' resort fees do they appear @ final payment page or do you pay the hotel directly upon checkin?

*once booked, can you contact the hotel directly to make bedding requests (i.e. a King bed)? Asking as the CBR appears as a special, but doesn't indicate the bedding configuration, wonder if you can pay upcharge for the King?popcorn::
