I would die from happiness to get that bounceback on our trip (less than two weeks to go!). Do you remember what date the free dining bounceback STARTS? I see you're getting it on August 20th. Unfortunately that might be too late for me - I'm a teacher and that might be just a smidge too late for me. So, I'm hoping maybe it starts just a BIT earlier!

Free dining BB for 2015 is 8/20 to 10/2. When I was at Disney, November of 2012, you were still able to book FD bounce back for August 2013.

Great! Was hoping for this. We will be at the WL for 10 days starting the 20th of this month on a free dining bounce back from last year.

Only thing that is kind of annoying is starting it mid week. Wish they could at least start it on a Sunday or Monday.

Nope. Your check-in date must be within the offer parameters. As noted you'd have to have two separate reservations to get free dining for any part of this trip, based on the current offer.

That's too bad ... For us, free dining would have meant the biggest savings, so I don't think we'll be bouncing back.

It's an offer of either a percentage off a Room Only reservation or an offer of Free Dining that has to be booked before you check out of your room. The offer is usually in the information packet that you either get when you check in, or is left in your room. If you don't see one, you can call 8844 from your resort room and ask what the current offer is.

As other posters have suggested, you simply do a split-stay; which is, typically, two separate back-to-back reservations at one or more WDW resorts! It's a piece of cake!

We took advantage of a bounceback offer for Free Dining later this month when we visited the parks last August. We had the same problem you had... we planned to be back down at WDW prior to the start of the FD BB promotion, which this year is on August 20, 2014. We plan to arrive on August 17.

So, we booked the FD BB last August to start with a stay in a FW cabin for a few days, beginning on Aug. 20. When we arrive on Aug.17, I grabbed a suite at AS-Music for a few nights. On the morning of the 20th, we check out of all-stars and check-in to Fort Wilderness! Nothing to it!

Oh, and while we're at the all-stars, I put us on the quick-serve dining plan. So, it's burgers and fries the first couple days in the parks (for cheap), then steak and lobster the rest of the week (for FREE!). Works for us!

Now that I know the Free Dining will be offered as the bounceback to return next August, I see a 2015 WDW trip in our future!
