Just got confirmation for HHI09

Just got our confirmation letter for HHI June 09. It just made me a little sad that we aren't going this simmer..we have for the last 3 summers. Oh well at least we have a countdown for next summer!

Boy, I had a Dory moment there, but I finally got it!We don't have our ressies for HH '09. We wanted to make a cash ressie through member services and then try at the 7month like we did last year to get the days on points, but no luck yet with the cash days

Jeesh... I thought it was hot when we were there!!!

We have been in late June, 2nd week in July, and 2nd week in August. The worst week was in July with extreme humidity, but that said, we have thoroughly enjoyed June and August with wonderful weather each time(80+ with lower humidity) perfect for beach and pool and evening activities. During the really hot and humid July, we had to modify the outdoor stuff(the main pool was warmer than bath water..didn't cool you off at all-they even dumped laundry carts of ICE into it in the afternoon!) We use HHI vacation as relaxation and just reading on the porch or in the living room for us is wonderful..(Boston also has the hot/humid 90 degree stuff...just not everyday). We are returning June 7-10, 2009.

I agree, like LVSWL, I'm a VWL groupie, but HH is a very close second in my book!
Visited for the first time this last June and am a convert. Bought points there the minute I got back home. We're planning to go Sept '09. Hope the time goes quickly for you and me!

Hey 50 years Too! When were you there in June? We were there the 13th through the 19th. Not nearly long enough! I am trying to convince my DH to
add on there, but he thinks that we should add on at the new "Target" they are building near the CR

We were there July 6th -- 11th and had a great time. I would say though that this was the coolest week we have ever had during the summer months. Not sure if it hit 90 all week and the humidity wasn't a probably at all.

You could rent points from a HHI owner and then book at 11 months. Doing it this way is also much less expensive than using cash reservations.

Yeah, too much hassel to rent, and besides we only pay cash for the 99 point Saturday nights, the rest we have booked, up until this year day by day, with great success.

I have one Two bedroom booked for June 14th-20 and a second Two bedroom that week but had to waitlist for 3 of those days (15-18th, got the Sunday, but it's booked Mon Tues and Weds off all things) I am hopeful they will clear. If not, I feel bad for our friends, but we are going regardless lol

The 12th thru the 22nd for us, so maybe we will see you there! We have waitlisted for a couple of years for HHI, for at least two or three nights. Ours always came through, but it did take a little while. Interesting about M,Tue, and Wed.Good luck!!
