We had a great time! It was truly magical. We had our 2 year old and 4 year old and did MK, AK, Blizzard Beach and Universal. We loved MK, AK, BB the best! Disney is incredible. We took our own double stroller and we were so happy we did. We took squirt bottle fans- it was so hot, and the kids had their own water bottles that we were able to fill with ice anywhere we could. Ice water is free all throughout the parks, so don't be afraid to ask for it. Bottled water was $2.50, so we were happy with the ice water! The best thing we did was arive at the parks as they opened. We were able to accomplish so much getting there early. We saw a lot of people running out of patience with there kids and a lot of very tired kids, so remember to stay calm! I will write more later.

Feel free to email me with any questions! I will be gone for a few days but I will respond ASAP! themillers@mac.com :bounce:

Thanks for the ice water tip. Would you just go up to counter serve areas and ask them to fill your bottles. I don't like to fill from the water fountains - germs yuck! You always see some kid with his mouth on the spout!

Yes, we just went up to the various food places in the parks and asked for ice water- even when we were not buying anything else. They always gave it to us without a fuss. We even had kids water bottles (the wide mouth flip straw Playtex ones) to fill up and another big water bottle and they were happy to do it. The best thing to do is ask for an extra cup of ice, because it melts so quickly.

We are also planning on taking or double stroller for our 2.5 and 4.5 yr boys.

Did you need the stroller at the water park?
Did you use WDW buses or a car to get around WDW?
Did you do any charater meals?
Were your kids into the autograph books?

We are leaving on the 18th so any tips you have would be appreciated!

You do not need a stroller at the water parks. Some people had them, but they seemed very unessesary. Our kids were too excited and loved walking everywhere. Blizzard Beach was the greatest because they have a tube float that takes you around the entire park, so we just hopped on those to take us to Tikes Peak and then back to our chairs. They have lounge chairs as far as the eye can see and big umbrellas. Get there first thing to get a shaddy spot in case you are luckey enough to have one of them nap. (we were not so lucky ;) ).
Life jackets are free too.
We stayed about 20 minutes away from WDW so we did not use the busses. The monerail of course we used. We did not attend a Character meal, but we really wished we would have. They sound so great. My little 4 year old said, "If we could sleep at WDW, then maybe we could wake up and have breakfast with the characters." We did not tell him we could have anyway. :( So you should do it. At animal kingdom, they ask the character breakfast people to line up in a seperate line at the opening and then you follow them to the place, it seemed really organized- as all of Disney is. Oh, and don't miss the parade @ MK- that was the BEST!
And Autograph books were a big hit with the 4 1/2 year old boy. His face just lit up at every chance. But we did end up forgetting it at AK and missed out on a few autographs. But he just came home and wrote the ones we missed in it. (kinda defeats the purpose) The 2 1/2 year old girl NEVER came near a character, so her book was a waste of money. She was scared of all of them, only the princess could come near her. She was funny. It cost me $16.95 for 2 autograph books and 2 pens.... I think you can make your own and put a character sticker on the page you want them to sign, the books that you buy in the parks have no pictures- just plain paper.
