Hi everyone! We just got back about 4pm yesterday (Sunday). We were there from Sat., 10/2 - Sat., 10/9. Here are our observations:

CROWDS: Most of the week was great! We went to MK our first Sat there, arriving at about 1pm. It was crowded, but very manageable with Fastpass. We balanced the Fastpass attractions with less popular attractions, such as TTA, Astro Orbitors, and Carousel of Progress. From Sunday through Wednesday, most attractions were either walk-on or no more than a 15 minute wait. By Thursday, crowds were picking up. We'd planned to spend the whole day at MK on Thursday, but left about noon, because we'd already done most everything & lines were getting LONG! Epcot on Friday, however, seemed empty. We did see a lot more activity at the check-in counter in the resort on Thursday & Friday.

WEATHER: It was pretty hot and humid. It was upper 80s to low 90s most days. It did cool down Thursday & was 68 by 7pm. The local weatherman said that was the first time below 70 since early June. We had one 20-30 minute rain while we were in Epcot on Tuesday, 10/5. We took refuge in Mexico, so it wasn't bad at all.

CLEANLINESS: After reading some reports of less than Disney standard cleanliness recently in the parks, I was really watching this area. I can happily report that everything I saw was very neat & clean. Just about every restroom I visited had an attendant present. I didn't see any overflowing trash cans or trash on the ground. Considering all of the extra clean up that has been required with recent hurricanes, I thought this was exceptional.

CASTMEMBERS: WONDERFUL!! All but one castmember that I encountered were friendly, smiling, and seemed happy to be there. But, I also make a point to speak to them and thank them for their services.

General crowd behavior was good overall. Most people are courteous and polite. There were only two things that happened that made me feel less than magical. One was during the show of Miyuki the candy lady in Japan at Epcot. We were there about 15 minutes before her show was to start. There were 3 other families there at the time. When Miyuki began making candy & giving it to children, this huge mob suddenly appeared. Two preteen girls, along with their mother!, barrelled right past my 3 & 6 year olds to the front of the line. I was probably too polite, but I didn't say anything. So, of course, those girls get candy & mine don't. I can pretty much say that their mother didn't raise them with any manners, because the mother didn't have any either! The second thing had to do with our stroller. I have read many, many complaints about people being run over by strollers. I try to be super concious of this & steer my stroller carefully. But some adults are just as insensitive toward the children in the stroller! My son was just about stepped on and was stepped OVER by adults who were just in a hurry to get by. But, I figure if those are my only 2 complaints out of a week, we're doing ok.

I will post dining reviews on the restaurant board. Any questions?

Have a magical day!

Welcome back! It sounds like you all had a wonderful trip! Thanks for your trip report!

I leave for Disney World this wed., I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc

Did you go to MNSSHP and if so how was it? And where did you stay?

We stayed at All Star Movies. We were in Bldg 10, which is the Buzz Bldg. It was PERFECT for my DS3. All week long he was in heaven! We found the bus service, housekeeping, guest services, and food court to be excellent here.

We did not attend MNSSHP, mainly because of DS. We were almost 11pm getting back to the room on Saturday night & were back up & at MK for early entry on Sunday. Plus, we had Fantasmic scheduled for Monday & Illuminations for Tues. We decided that our 3 year old just couldn't handle so many late nights in a row. We think the party will be better for us when the kids are older.

Have a wonderful trip!! I'm already wanting to go back!
