Just got back from our 5 night WDW with our DS (5) and DD (8) trip and wanted to give a quick trip overview.

We left very early Friday morning from CT for our 2 days of travel to get to Wyndham Bonnet Creek. Traffic was heavy at times through Baltimore and the Fredericksburg area due to construction. Overall though we made good time and arrived at our hotel in Brunswick GA around 8:30pm.

The next morning we had a nice breakfast at the hotel and made tracks for WDW at 8:00am and arrived at WBC at 11:30am. We checked in to our 2 bedroom suite but it wasn't ready. Luckily we had friends staying in the same tower, tower 6, so we left our belongings in there room until ours was ready.

Since there was time to kill while waiting for the 3rd family to arrive from their flight we hit the pool and relaxed for a bit and then grabbed a quick bite for lunch.

This was our first offsite stay and we were delighted to have a 2 bedroom suite for roughly $85 a night. After the stay we had at WBC we decided that this would be our go to resort for all future stays. For the price and location it just can't be beat (thank you DISboards for introducing us).

On to the parks.

After lunch at WBC we headed to MK. We all purchased our tickets early from undercover tourist and booked our dinners & FP+ well before we arrived which was a huge plus. We did hit a 30+ minute problem with our RFID chips not properly working on or tickets. However, they gave us additional FP's to use on 2 separate attractions so that was a score.

Once we got into MK I immediately purchased magic bands for the whole family. This made things so much easier at FP and entering the park rather than having to constantly hand the kids their tickets at every FP and entry to the parks. I am looking forward to when they rollout the ability for offsite guests to use the MB to charge all purchases.

Crowds were typical for the time we visited so no surprises there. We spent a total of 4.5 days in the parks with 1.5 days at MK and 1 day at each other park (HS, AK & EPCOT). I was presently surprised that neither of my kids ever complained about the heat or too much walking. I thought for certain that my DS would definitely not want to walk all day and night.

Overall I was indifferent to FP+ I felt it was neither better nor worse than the old FP system. However, I could hear and see tons of frustrated guests both at the FP+ kiosks and at the FP+ entry areas.

So in a nutshell, it was another great trip to Disney and we will begin our plans for our 2015 summer trip. Hoping to get 7 nights in on that trip as I will no longer have family to visit in the Orlando area (they are moving back north).

Please feel free to ask any questions if you have any.
