I just got back Sunday, and I've already booked for May 9th! Had a great trip with my brothers family and now I'm taking my son for a quick 3 day trip. Loved Wizarding World but didn't get a chance to see Olivanders (spring break crowds made it too crazy) and I didn't get to eat at 3 Broomsticks, so we'll do those for sure. The advice that the crowds thin in the evening was very helpful. Loved the Spiderman upgrade, its amazing! And the shortcut is still open.

I hope so, but I was kind of surprised I had difficulty finding a room at RPR. I used AAA at first and booked a king suite because that was all that was available and showing only a couple of rooms left. Then I checked again and a queen AP rate showed up (no AP rates showed initially) so I grabbed that. Might be something going on a RPR I guess.

you shouldn't have issues with crowd levels on may 9th.
you might see some school groups on fridays and saturdays so hit parry hotter the days prior to that.

nice time in May to go.
lower crowd levels, nice weather.


RPH holds a lot of conventions which sometimes fills up rooms in blocks.
that could be the only thing i can think of on the issue of obtaining room availability.
the conventioneers don't affect the park as they are in meetings throughout the day and usually socialize at the hotels in the evenings.

but, you have your room booked and all set now.

I managed to get free nights at comfort inns (points) for the ride there and back so I consider that a huge bonus! This will be a budget trip, gonna get there around noon on the 9th, spend 2 nights and leave around 3 or 4 on the 11th. Just me and the kiddo so this should be a great trip!

Which shortcut are you referring to? The one that bypasses WWoHP?
