We just got back! I'll give a very quick report here, and try to do details on the report forum...
DLH was fantastic! Not one single complaint form us. We asked for a room with the fold out couch and two queens and a park view, our room was huge! We had views of the waterfalls, and the sound was so nice! We COULD see fireworks from our room, too!
Early entries to toontown and fantsyland were not so great. PACKED! But the kids had a blast. I think its less crowded after the morning rush.
We expected to see more characters in the park. Every single character autograph my kids got we had to stand in line at least 15 minutes, up to one hour. We'll NEVER do the autograph books again. Once is fun, but no more.
Club Buzz was horrible. I would avoid that place. Soaring over california was spectacular, as was the fireworks show. We went to two character breakfasts, and Lilo and Stitch was by far the best. Fun characters, good food, and we could order off the menu. Great pictures!!! The other one we did was chip and dale at the Storeybook. Nothing fantastic, but OK. The food was good. Kids LOVED Autopia and Buzz Astroblasters. Our shuttle driver from John Wayne to DL drove like a lunatic! But we survived! :goodvibes The parks close kind of early on weekdays, so have to have late night plans elsewhere. Overall, a great trip! (But, stay far away from Club Buzz!) Oh! Also, the BEST meal we had was at Rainforest Cafe!! I heard lots of bad reports, but our party of 6 people all said AWESOME! I guess it depends on what you order and who is cooking that night. We were happy, happy! Im sure there are so many things Im forgetting to tell you!

Welcome back! Thanks for the quick trip report. Just curious, did you go anywhere else besides DL like Universal or San Diego? Thanks for the tip about Club Buzz...thats disappointing to hear.

Wow I can't believe the card from you got here to Jersey so quickly. Thank you for all the helpful comments.

Wow, disappointed to hear about Club Buzz - My DS5 LOVES Buzz, so I'm sure we will have to go there anyway. Will look forward to the details in the trip report!

Glad to hear you had a great trip. I'm so excited that you enjoyed lilo and stitch. We'll be going there for the first time at the end of the month. Also really glad you enjoyed the rainforest cafe. We prefer the downtown disney location to our loal one. Welcome back. I look forward to your trip report.

OK, just read your write-up on Club Buzz - We will NOT be going there! :furious:

There is nothing in this food location thta will really draw your son's attention. The name comes from a show that USED to play near the restuarant and now the attraction located beside it. Please don't eat there. I always feel terrible when I see the mobs of people eating the food knowing they could have spent less at other dining locations for way better food!

I was thinking of going because it sounded like it was a Buzz-themed restaurant, and with Buzz appearing there, I thought it would be a must-see for DS5. However, it sounds like the kids were pretty well ignored and the food was terrible, so we will definitely skip it!

Club Buzz is an outdoor restaurant, fast food type, located in Tomorrowland, right near the monorail, and around the corner form Buzz lightyear astroblasters and autopia. It is not Buzz themed, but Buzz appears there every so-often for a dance fest. They play loud music and have a DJ... you cant miss it. But, I would try to. FOR THE BOYS WHO LOVE BUZZ: Go to the Astroblasters ride, it's great fun for them! And, maybe when different folks are running the buzz dance thing, it might not be bad, but it was horrid that day. The food is so bad in my opinion, but someone here said breakfast was good. I didnt even see breakfast on their menu board... so, as you can tell, Im no expert.

Lilo and Stich IS at Paradise Pier Hotel. We got there early, I think we had 7am reservations. (it's all a blur right now!) and we were basically the first ones there and the kids got great attention form Max. He is a great character, and provides many laughs and great photo ops! He used my daughters head as a desk to sign her book, and she thought that was the greatest! I got a great picture of it, too! I will mention, that it seemed like within 30 minutes or so the place filled up with people, but NEVER felt crowded and busy. The waitress was a little bored, but I can imagine that after a while, all of us parents with cameras start looking the same! :) for the littlest kids, they do a little hawaiian dance thing, and play follow the leader around the room... but my kids at 4 and 6 seemed to want to watch the tiny kids bob around with the characters. It was very cute though! They give you a lei and a cute button/pin as a souvenier. My 22 year old son, who rarely cracks a smile in public was tortured by Max!I got the best pictures!!! Really, memories to last a lifetime. Max pulled my sons sweatshirt hood down over his head, covered my sons eyes while he made kissy noises at my sons GF... and basically had everyone cracking up! I cant say enough good about this character breakfast! They had Lilo, Stitch, Max, Daisy Duck and Pluto. For 6 people I think it cost something like $65... a DEAL!!! (they even let the two little ones split a meal!) I'll post this in a seperate topic too, as I was so unsure of which breakfast to do before our trip!

Well, was it worth the grief over flying and the preparation. Glad you had a great time.
