I just got back yesterday fom pop and contempoary if anyone has any questions i will be more then happy to answer them. sad to be back home in jersey it went by too quick!!!lol:(

I'm thinking of switching to Pop from my current reservation at ASMo. Can you tell me what you thought of Pop? How crowded were the buses and how long did you usually wait for one? How was the food court? How crowded did the resort feel to you? DId you have any trouble with noise from other rooms or with the airconditioning? What building did you stay in and how did you like it?

Anything else you can share will help me a lot!

Thanks!

I stayed in the 60s the resort did not feel crowded to me .the only problem i had with the buses was waiting in the line at magic kingdom going back to pop it gets very long the need a better system at magic kingdom for pop.food court was good. did hear a little noise from the next room.hope this helps!!DIS SJW:D

I know other parts of the state are still in very bad shape, but is it possible to tell that a hurricane recently hit WDW?

We'll be at Pop for 3 nights for the first time. Then checking into Contemporary for 5 nights.

Requested 50s section at Pop. Have 2 small kids. Like to be near pool & food court. We'll have a rental car. Did you have a car? How was parking? You mentioned bus line from MK to Pop was long at closing, how about at other times? From other parks?

Have a std. wing room at Contemporary. Have stayed there before, but not in years. Hope to get North Wing. How was parking here if you had a car? What about bus lines from parks back to CR? Where is bus depot at CR?

Never split ressies before. Did you get refillable mugs? At one or both? Can't decided if we'll get. At Pop, we'll be there one half day after arrival, another will be at in-laws in St Pete & one more day before checkout. Where do you refill at CR? At food & fun center?

Thanks for your feedback. Can't wait to do it for ourselves.

We checked into the CR the same day Charley did!!! We were in the North Wing, ground level facing the lake. We loved the CR much more than we thought we would. They took great care of the guests during Charley. I never would have thought that the word 'lock-down' would be used at WDW but it was at the CR that night. Really something to behold. But, the damage wasn't too bad at WDW. AK didn't open up until Sunday. They took a pretty good hit. It was really amazing to me to see how well Disney handled this. The clean-up crews were out, prioritizing wonderfully. I did hear some people actually say that 'there sure was a lot of debris lying around on Sat and wouldn't you think that Disney would do a better job at cleaning up'. Incredible!!! All in all WDW was in really good shape by Sat afternoon. When we left on 8/21 you could hardly tell there had been a hurricane. In fact, we were amazed at the damage outside WDW on the way to the airport. Yes, we had seen all the news reports but it was mind boggling to see what a great job Disney had done, in such a short time!!

We are staying at CR in December. I've been concerned with the conditions of the rooms (we'll be in the garden wings). I've heard they are in need of refurbishing, what did you think.
