Hi everyone....well, I'll answer some of the questions I've seen so far:
- I bought the 81.00 7-day 2 park tickets last summer on the official website. I've seen the same deal ever since then, but the price has gone up.
- I have NO idea how to download pics....if someone can guide me, I'll be more than happy to try.
- Royal Pacific Resort Club Level:
***Breakfast included on an every day basis: a hot pastry with cream cheese icing, oatmeal with all the toppings, fresh fruit (watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew melon and pineapple), different flavors of small muffins, various doughnuts (cinnamon, chocolate frosting, etc), cereals, bagels with toppings, toast with toppings (butter, jelly, peanut butter, etc), yogurt with the crunchy topping, various flavored pastries (raspberry, chocolate, cinnamon, strawberry, etc.). It opens at 6am. They also have hot tea, coffee, OJ, chocolate milk, skim milk, whole milk, Lemon water.
***You can get drinks until lunch (tea, coffee, sprite, coke, diet coke, Lemon water). When we were at the pool, we'd go to the Club and get our drinks and bring them back to the pool.
***Lunch consisted of nuts and goldfish every day
***They had a different main dish every night. The nights I was there, the different ones were: Chicken legs with potatoes in a mushroom sauce, Chicken Lo Mein, Chicken Fried Rice, Macaroni salads and/or other pasta salads, Jalapeno Poppers....I missed some nights. They always had Nacho chips and salsa with sour cream and also cheese cubes, cut vegetables and dip, peanut and jelly sandwiches. Also, they had beers and wine for you to drink. Coke, Sprite, Diet Coke, Lemon water, Milk, Skim Milk, Hot Tea.
***8pm-9:30 was dessert. It was mostly the same every single night. All the same drinks (no alcoholic beverages), chocolate cookies, chocolate chip cookies. One night they had Rice Krispee treats dipped in white chocolate. They had little cakes and sometimes bowls of flavored pudding. One night they had brownies.
***They would stay open until 10....and you could get drinks up until then.
Was Club Level worth it? For 2 people?...maybe not. For 4 - yes. We used it often. We paid for it, so we used it. Club level also gave us 2 Fiji waters in our bedroom a day for 'free', as well as a paper in the morning.
There was a guy who would come randomly and check your fridge to see if you used any of the items (we never did). By the way, you CAN fit some stuff in the small fridge.....we did.
Most of the staff at Club Level were absolutely awesome, except one guy. He actually asked my husband why he would ruin a Corona beer by putting a lime in it and asked why he would think that would be necessary. He made various comments all week.
Regarding the Blue Man Group ------ I got 1/2 price tickets through
AAA about 2 months ago. WELL WORTH EVERY PENNY. I got second row seats, mid stage. Awesome show. I brought a 7 yr old and an 8 yr old. They both loved it. Be warned.....it's loud!
Hint: if you want magnets, don't get them at the stores at the resorts or the stores inside the park....wait till you are leaving and go to the 30-50% store at each park. The SAME magnets were $3.00 cheaper.
Yes...I had a wonderful time. All sorts of cool stories (Guiding Light, we'll be on the official Universal website, etc.....)
One complaint: The parks opened at 9am, but A LOT of stuff didn't open until 11:00am or noon. Most of the food places were closed until noon and 2 of the 4 nice TS restaurants were closed the entire stay. 90% of the food places were closed by 5pm each night we were there.
LOVED the Express Tickets you get for being at an onsite resort. WOW....LOVED it! I got the Supersaver hotel rate and it was wonderful!
LOVED the fact that it didn't take us 1 1/2 hours (like Disney) to get from the parks to the resort when it was closing time. 15 minutes!
