Just got back yesterday... Quick review for now… more details later…
If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

MNSSHP - a lot of fun - but we needed to do two nights to get everything done we wanted to do. The MMC shirts we made we great - everyone got a kicked out of it ... one cast member even asked us to sign the theme song (my DH did not comply) - but a blast no matter what.

LTT - Character Dinner - Great as always - they sang Happy Birthday to my dad (he had one of the pins on) - characters had good interaction with us - Chip "the Spidermunk" (as he signed my book) & Minnie asked for our Pal Mickey so she could hug him... Pluto is an excellent charades player and asked how old my dad was - 62 - and he had us guess how old he was (75)... very fun interaction...

Ohana's - breakfast - a bit expensive for what we ate - but I loved the idea of seeing Stitch so easily. So worth it for us. The cast members there were great.

Ohana's - Dinner - our best dinner - loved the wings (does anyone have a recipie for the sauce?) - great food - a bit slow but there was a great light show outside the window we were sitting at (Pre-Wilma Lightning Rain Storm)...

EPCOT:

Food and Wine Festival - Strolled the world twice (once in the rain) on Saturday (Me, DH, and two friends) - completed out goal of trying at least 15 of the 27 booths adult beverages - we actually tried 17. Saw Starship - an entertaining show of fun music. and left before fireworks. Went back again in Tuesday (Me, mom, and Dad) - with the goal of seeing the Beach Boys - we strolled the entire world part and tried a few things I had missed and a few things I liked a lot - the beach boys line was WAY too long - so we sat at one of the tables outside the theatre and listened - my dad liked it but wasn't one of the best performances...

The rest of that park we did pretty fast - what we did do - I would recommend getting fast passes for Soaring - it was a fun ride - but we would not have enjoyed it as much if we had to wait the posted 50 minutes.

My mom and I did the Behind the Seeds Tour on Tuesday - cute tour for not a lot of $$ - Our guide was very nice and explained everything very well. It was a small group (the two of us, another couple, and one other gentleman) - so the tour definitely took a feel for all of their questions - which we didn't have a lot of b/c we are not avid gardeners - but still fun. I liked seeing "behind the scenes".

All in all an ok trip – We lost two days due to the rain – so that was disappointing. (we had to move my parents to our hotel just in case the hurricane was bad, etc.

Planning my next trip back in December so I have a plan - bring both warm and cold clothes – incase another cold front comes in. Tuesday was freezing!

Hugs
Laura

Welcome back! :wave2:

I have some questions:

1. What are the crowds like? We leave in little over a week!

2. How was the weather? Praying for no hurricanes! :goodvibes

3. Did you use Magical Express? If so, which resort? How long did it take for you to arrive at resort? Hoping no longer than 1 1/2 hours for us! :hourglass

Thanks for your help! :wizard:

1. Crowd levels were great - I would still recommend fast passes for Soaring - even with the small crowd the line said 50 minute wait... but everything else we went on was easy.

2. weather - Well - we had a visit fromt he outside of Wilma (rain and wind) - so the weather changed from the start to the end of our trip. Thrusday, Friday, and Sat it was warm - t-shirts and shorts weather for all of us... then Sunday was the pre-Wilma stuff - so rainy and Monday was the day of rain and Wind... Tuesday after everything was done it was cool. I hadn't packed anything for cool weather except jeans - so Tuesday I walked around EPCOT with jeans and a zip up sweatshirt... When the wind was blowing I had wished for a thinker sweater**** - but I survived... not sure how long that cold front is staying down there...

3. We did not use Magical Express - My father lives inthe area so he picked us up and we stayed at his place for a few of the days...

Hope that helps!
Laura

What is Behind the Seeds tour? I have never heard of this before. Thanks and glad you had a great time. I cant wait to get there!!

I am glad you had a good trip one of the tours sounds great. I love gardening as well so the one you wend on sounds good

Behind the Seeds tour discusses Disneys processes of conservation and unique ways of growing plants... they show you different ideas - like planting in water (I don't remember the correct names) - they showed you good bugs vs bad bugs and how they are trying to work with the good bugs...

you get to walk along the different parts of the Land ride - the Living with the Land boat ride... you see everything mich closer up.

We were also invited to feed some of the fish - and to release lady bugs in one of the gardens. It was pretty neat - and I would totally recommend for someone into gardening... some of their ideas seemed pretty easy to incorporate in ones yard or kitchen... I just don't plant much at all.

If you want to see photos from the tour - click the link below and i set up a folder with just those tour photos :)

Was Carousel of Progress open? The WDW now lists it as closed through Dec.

Oh My Gosh! - I think I saw you guys at MNSSHP! I commented to my husband that my favorite costumes of the evening was the family dressed as the MMC! Were you there on Oct. 21? White t-shirts with your names written in black block letters across the front and ears and black shorts?

I was there 14-23 October and I remember seeing COP working but don't remember if it was running everyday.
