Day 1 (Travel) Sat June 3.
We left our home @ 4:00AM est with 2 Minivans loaded with 10 people and enough luggage for 20. Made the 650+mile trip in 11 hours. Checked into our house then went to Wal-Mart on 535 for some Food and other stuff.

Day 2 (Non-park day) Sun June 4.
We Rested and played in the pool then went to Downtown Disney. ate at Rain Forest Cafe.

Day 3 (MAGIC KINGDOM) Mon June 5
We did a couple of Family Split-ups because of age differences and interests but Me and my DW and DS1 and DS2 got to do everythignwe wanted.

Maw and Paw got to enjoy lots of Rides with our kids and were totally wiped at the end of the Fireworks and were ready for the House.

Day 4 (Non-park day) Tue 6-6-06
More Pool and went to acouple of the local Malls (Florida Mall and Festival Bay).

Day 5 (Sea World) Wed June 7
I'll probably get allot of boos for this...but Sea World had to be my favorite park. Disney has nothing on the Kraken Coaster either.

Kraken Rocks!!! :rockband:

Day 6 (Non-Park) Thur June 8
DAYTONA...technically we went North of Daytona to Ormand and parked at Bicentenial Park and enjoyed the Ocean and Sand Great Beach weather too.

Day 7 (Animal Kingdom) Fri June 9
It was hot. :sunny:

This was my first trip to Animal Kingdom...I liked it and the Kids enjoyed it too. I noticed allot of people left after 3-4 and there was NO lines for anything...even Everest was almost nothing. When my FP time arrived.

Everest was a neat ride...but I was a little disapointed in it.

Day 8 (Rest-Pack-Rest-DTD) Sat June 10
More Pool, Resting, and one last trip to Downtown Disney...Wher eI Finally found a Stich T-Shirt for adults in the Team Mickey Shop...Stich and Football...2 of my favorite things!!!!

Day 9 (Travel) Sun June 11
We left our Villa at 8am. Pulled into our Drive at 7pm.

Ask me some questions if you think of something I'm Sure I probably have a tip or 2 .

Sound like you took it nice and slooooow! great way to go with the 'rents along. How long of a trip was it to get to Daytona from Orlando? And was it worth it for a day?
Oh and on Seaworld(we love that one too!) Did you see the new Shamu show? Was that worth it?
We will be down for really 7 full days- with 2 half days on either end of the trip. Would love to squeeze in Sea world but I think it will be too expensive for us to do.(we have 4 kids)

Was Rain Forest the only restaurant you hit? Wondering if you have any other reviews for us of other restaurants. Thanks. :thumbsup2

Had to take it sloooow my folks are 70 and 69. ;)

It took us about 1½hours to reach the actual Beach and we spent maybe 4-5 Hours on the Beach then went to a Seafood place afterwards and a few beach shops. Yes we felt it was worth the drive and a day...but we like relaxing...that's what vacations are for.

The new Shamu show "Believe" was very inspirational and was great...but I have to be honest...I enjoyed the "Blue Horizons" Show with the Dolphins and Birds more. :thumbsup2 Also the crowd level was better than MK...I rode the Kraken 3 times in 20 minutes. :woohoo:

Seaworld ran me about $51/Adult and $45/kid and those were discounted through my employers benifits website. parking is $10. Seaworld is a great change of pace from Disney Parks....but then so is Animal Kingdom after 4pm.

Seaworld also has a promotion that you can "upgrade" your 1 day ticket to come back anytime for up to 6 days after your first day for free. We didn't get a chance to go back, but I wished I had.

Have a great trip!!

Yes Rain Forest is the only Resturant we hit on the Disney property.
Sorry...we had a tight food budget.

i.e. we (my family immediate) spent this much on food in Sea World and AK: $0

The only food we purchased in the MK was some of those yummy Pineapple Floats in Adventureland at Aloha Isle. (I had 3 myself.)

:woohoo: Hey thanks for the upgrade tip on Seaworld. We could do a day and then squeeze in a ride or two on Kraken before heading home! (DH, DS and I all love the Kraken!! :woohoo:
Looking at it as 2 days makes it not so bad.-what always kills us there is the "feeding" areas with 4 that adds up pretty fast. But I am a sucker for that stuff. Thanks for the info.
