Arrived home from our 10 th trip this morning.

A few things stand out:
Excellent service form Virgin once again, our son is Autistic and they ensured we had bulk head seats there and back, not so sure about the meals though - cannot remember the last time I really enjoyed the food on the flight.

Lotrs of visitors from the UK, obviously the Dollar rate has boosted the number of visitors, parks generally busy but not packed.

Snow White ride not open at MK, is it is just us or is this always closed?
'Tomorrowland' looking a bit dated now, dissapointed 'Alien Encounter' is not there anymore, best thing about this area is the Ice Cream parlour - cannot remember the name.

Shrek ride at Universal is very good, the new 'Mummy' ride opens May 21st.
Just need to get rid of 'Lucille Ball' and 'Beetlejeuce' now....
;)
Still this is our favourite park, the enjoyment Joshua had on the 'Woody Woodpecker' ride (time and time again) will stay with me for a long time, he also shook Barney by the hand something that we will remember also - apologies may not seem memorable but with our sons special needs - little things like this mean a lot.

Water Mania on the 192, has anybody ever actually seen people on it? always seems deserted when we drive by.

On the subject of driving, I have always and will always rent a car in Orlando, however, on this holiday I have never witnessed such erratic driving on all our trips combined, obviously using a mobile phone whilst driving is not illegal in the US - still think driving is easy and safe though but certainly used the car horn on numerous occassions.

FAO Schwarz at Pointe Orlando was shut and looked like it may be closing down for good, not sure if anyone can confirm?

Ron Jon's surf shop at Festival Bay is worth a visit, even getting my wife to buy surf gear now!.....just a shame there are not more shops there, FB seems to be struggling to get going.
No real bargains to be had at Premium Outlets, as in previous visits we find this a bit hit and miss, made up for it at Ron Jon's and the Oakley store in the Florida Mall though...also check out the Tommy Bahama shop in the mall, great silk shirts at fair prices...sorry I am sounding like a bit of a shopaholic here.

We had a great time and are even thinking of going back in October.

I know what you mean about "...little things like this mean a lot". These images stick with you forever.

Hi

Welcome Home, sounds like you had a very memorable trip:)

Yes FAO Schwartz has shut down for good.

Yes we have seen people here, but not too much over the last few years.

Happy Booking/Planning for your next trip...::yes::

You dont think the erractic driving is in any way connected to your other comment anout more Brits being there do you ;)

Hey Red Snapper,

No looking at the vehicles I am sure they were not Brits, to be honest generally speaking we did for the first time come across a degree of rudeness on occassions.
One of the staff at the Universal park where you pay your $8 to get in was particularly unfriendly, had a truck driver who blocked the zebra crossing when we arrived at Downtown Disney when we were walking across with our stroller - guess some people no matter where you go are just like that.

Wonder what they will do with that big teddy bear now FAO has closed down?

hi johnny

i would love to hear your dining reviews if you have any top tips

welcome back:sunny:
