Just got back... Seemed a little run down.

DH and I frequent disneyland at least once a month. We just got back yesterday, and I must say, if it was my first trip, I would have been seriously disappointed. When we were in HM, and the room started stretching, there was such a loud screeching noise, it could be heard over the narrator. Super obnoxious. Also in line for Astro Orbitor, anytime someone would come over the speaker, there was a loud, high pitch whistling noise that most the people in line up front by the CM box, would plug their ears. Then on Snow White, the entire ride our car was squeaking along the track. I know it's not normal disney, but if it was my first trip I would have been less than impressed.

So sorry you had to experience that. Disney doesn't understand how loyal patrons take this stuff seriously and personally after DL has become a part of us.
We had a trip like that years ago. Just things wrong and ignored everywhere. Even MS had bulbs out that went unnoticed for the entire trip. Lots of rides had failing details and trash was left in the waters and on the grounds for days. Peeling and faded paint, rot and things just falling apart from neglect. The Mark Twain was so beat up it just made me feel sad.
But then we came back a year later and all was well.
Still, they don't keep the park up nearly as well as they did when we first started going regularly back in the early 2000's.

I was just surprised that over our entire trip non of the little problems got fixed overnight. I mean, maybe just a little WD40 on the track. Who knows.

I was surprised by little things that were left ignored as well . The same trash on Autopia day after day, Same trash floating in the water, Same light bulbs on MS out for 3 days, even weeds in flower beds. The list went on and on.
