Just got back - LOVED it!

Hi,
We just got back from WDW and loved it! My hubby and I are both world travellers and this is one of our best trips.
We stayed at OKW which was really nice. Ate at Chef Mickey's (kids loved it), Whispering Canyon (a hoot), California Grill and Ohana's.
We danced at 8trax and the kids played at Neverland.
We went to MGM, Epcot and MK. Met a ton of characters.
Loved downtown Disney and lived at the World of Disney Store.
Attended the Disney Vacation Club Block party and even got to take a ton of balloons back.
We loved it so much that we are going back in March! I would be happy to answer any questions you might have...

Hi there! Glad to hear you had a great trip.

Was this your first trip to WDW? If so, can you tell me anything that you would do differently as a first timer? We are taking my best friend with us in October. We are WDW veterans, she is a first timer. I have tried to plan our week to ensure that she gets the whole WDW experience, but it would help to hear from someone who just experienced the Magic for the first time.

I would wake up early and get to the parks asap. The crowds are mad in the afternoons.
I really loved the Fast Pass idea. We really researched this trip well so there is not much we would do differently. I guess to pack light. We had laundry facilities in our room and I still overpacked.
I would tell her to research the trip and write down what she really wants to see - a list of MUST SEE ideas for MK for example.
You can never do too much research and organization and it was the key to a successful trip for us.

You are so right about packing light! I'll never convince her though. She once had her entire closet collapse under the weight of 4 complete wardrobes (4 different sizes)! She brings two suitcases for an overnight.

I have done all the planning, but I had her watch the DVD and read all four theme park maps.

Thank you for sharing!! Can you tell me more about this 8trax? I'm thinking it was in Pleasure Island, but how much did it cost to enter? How much did you pay for any food or drinks??? What did you dance to? Why did you chose this place over others??

I loved 8trax! I cannot remember how much we paid this the hubby took care of that. You can PM me tomorrow and I will ask the hubby then. I believe there is a discount if you have an annual pass.
I really loved this club. It played 70's and 80's music with cool videos. The place was packed. I went to BET and it was packed but we found most the people drunk and verbally rude.

Madonna
Girls Just Want to Have Fun
Come on Eileen
It's Raining Men
ETC
If you like 80's music - you will love this place!
