What a nice night! It was nice Gabrielle didn't have to wear a jacket over her costume. I don't know about anywhere else but there wasn't a lot of other kids trick or treating tonight. The homes that we went to kept giving her handfuls of candy and were saying they had so few kids this year. I wonder if it was because halloween was on Friday and people might have been having parties instead of going trick or treating.

She got a bag full of candy and we only went to about 20 homes

we had a nice night too. Very warm...Poor DS he was bear in the big blue house and he nearly roasted at the parade today and even tonight! We always go to my brother's neigborhood and I thought the kids all seemed so old this year... Granted this is our 5 or 6 th year going there so I guess the kids are growing up!

we had a fun evening too. It didn't seem like a ton of kids out here either, but we went through 10 bags of candy by 7:45 and had to turn off all the lights. I did notice though that (after we ran out of candy) there were people driving into our neighbourhood, mainly teenagers with no costumes.... even if we had had candy left at that point, they wouldn't have gotten any. (I'm mean that way, if you can't put any effort into it... don't knock on my door). other than that, it was pretty fun. :D maggie

My sons weren't in to Halloween this, so No Halloween layouts for them, BUT my neice in NY has 2 little girls so I will at least get to do pic's of them............YEAH:teeth:
We only had 1 child come to our house last night. On the way home from work I hardly saw any trick or treaters either. I guess more and more people are going to Malls, or there churches are having something for them. So sad that Halloween has turned out the way it has.

It was a very warm and fun evening for us too. We had so many kids that I had to take out my two bags of reserved candy. (I hide them for myself when I get a chocolate craving, don't tell anyone) It was a much nicer night then last year when everyone was still scared about the sniper.

Talk about mad though. The two girls (7th and 8th grade) from across the street came to my house twice and there parents didn't give anything out.

I loved that Halloween was on Friday. We went to a neighbor's house for a bonfire and kids trick or treated their way around our neighborhood. We have over 100 houses and most participate. We had maybe 100 trick or treaters and we usually have closer to 200. I do think there were a lot of parties this year, which is fun too.
