We had a great time. The beds were very comfortable. They were great to sleep in after a long day in the parks. I liked having the coffee maker in the room. I got alot of use out of that. The room was very clean and comfortable. I really feel I got a good value for my money. We paid 139.00 a night. It was special rate good until the end of labor day weekend.

I think the location is great. I loved having the option to walk or take the boat to epcot and mgm.

Before I left I did read some posts of people complaining about a mildew smell in the room. I thought, wow everyone was right. But after the first day I didn't smell it anymore.

I would stay there again.

If anyone has any questions I would be happy to help.

We stayed there last November and loved it as well. However, we did have a problem with the moldy room. They moved us very willingly, and on the 3rd try we got a room w/o mold.

We liked the beds A LOT - and the room was so bright and fresh, plus a good size. Nice dining on site and at the Dolphin and, of course, the location is fabulous.

I have heard that the pools are not heated.
Did you swim? Are they heated?
I know this time of year you don't really need it to be heated..... :rotfl:
But I am a sissy when it comes to cold pools. :cold:

Another question....... about the buses....
Did you have to share a bus with Boardwalk? How long did it take to get to MK?
Did you walk to Epcot? How long did it take you?
How long do you think it would take to walk to the front of Epcot to catch the monorail?
Do you think it would be easier to catch the bus to MK or walk through Epcot to catch the monorail? What if we have a stroller?
Thanks!

I did not go swimming so I don't know if the pool was heated.
It took us about 15 min to walk from the swan to epcot. But it was very hot out so we probably weren't walking as fast as we could. MGM took us about the same amount of time. Sometimes I preferred walking because if you just miss the boat it can take about 15 to 20 min to get another one. The boat does stop at the boardwalk and beach club.

The bus to MK was fine. We got there in about 15 min. I never walked to epcot to catch the monorail to the MK. It would be a long walk and in this heat would have been torture for me. I just took the bus in front of the hotel. I'd say it would take about 25 to 30 min to walk to epcot to the monorail at epcot.

Does it "feel" Disney?

Do you have to share bus's with the B/YC and the BW all the time?

Thanks!

We shares buses with BW and YC. I don't know if they ever change their schedule.

In my own opinion I feel the Swan definately has the disney magic otherwise I would not stay their again. I have stayed at the GF, Poly, BC and YC, the boardwalk villas and I feel the swan has the same disney magic feel as they do. How could it not it's right in the middle of the magic. The boat to mgm or epcot. You have easy access to the YC and BC and the Boardwalk.

Plus they offer better discounts then the disney owned hotels.

OK, dumb question, especially since I've stayed at the Swan before. Just have the forget-me's disease. Is the Dolphin or the Swan on the Boardwalk side of the lake? We'll be at the Dolphin in Oct.

The Swan and Dolphin are on the board walk side of the lake. We walked out and made a right and the boardwalk is right there.

The Swan is the one that's closer to the Boardwalk. The Dolphin requires a short walk over the bridge wgere you board the boats.

I was just at the Dolphin and the grotto pool (Main one) was not heated but it felt great what with the heat and humidity. I would say it was probably about 80 degrees.

We shared a bus with Broadwalk but there were dedicated buses just to Dolphin and Swan too.
