Just got back from the Angel game 7....

World Series Champs!! Yeah !! I don't even really follow baseball and I got caught up in it this year. Even though I'm against Disney getting their hands into too many things (Mighty Ducks, Angels, ABC, Fox Family, Go.Com, etc) I have to admit, I hope they keep the Angels. It seemed very "Disney" at the game tonight. One side note, when they announced Eisner during the trophy ceremony at home plate, there were quite a few boo's...and this is right AFTER the Angels had just won the World Series! There was enough love in the crowd at that point to forgive the D.C sniper and they still had the gut reaction to boo Eisner. Oh well...I guess it ain't just us!

Anyway, had a great time at the game and my condolances to the SF Giants. RIP.

I just wanted to add...did anyone else think that Eisner looked just plain dumb accepting the trophy in a Mickey Mouse t-shirt???

I mean I have my share of Mickey shirts too, and I do wear them in public...but there is a time and place for everything...and I don't think you want your CEO to look like a tourist...

I am happy for the Angels...nice to see the right team win

I couldn't see that he was wearing a Mickey Mouse T-shirt when I was at the game but I did see it on the news when I got home. I think that him wearing that shirt sent a statement to the shareholders and more importantly, the board or directors who have given him a year to turn things around. I think that that was a direct attempt by Eisner to show everyone that he's on the mouse's team and MAYBE it signals that he might be wanting to align himself with the themepark division of the company a little more. You didn't see him wearing an ABC shirt or a Fox Family baseball cap or even an Angels/Mighty Ducks shirt. MAYBE this means that he is starting to figure what division of Disney may pull them out of this downward spiral, the themeparks, and save his job.

Just my two cents.

P.S. Or he could have spilled coffee on his Miramax shirt and he pulled the MIckey shirt off his car seat!
