Just got back from seeing POTC:Dead Mans Chest!!! (no spoilers)

Just back too. Laughed my head off, but was also pretty disappointed, especially at the end. Maybe I built it up too much in my own head???? pirate:

I loved it myself... I think the ending is a good one for a movie that you know will have one more part to it!

I won't say much more, but it is a lot more "dark" than the first. I was a bit shocked by that.

I just got back too! I really liked it, and the theater was PACKED!

I just got back also. I loved it and can't wait until the next one. I have also never gone to a midnight first time showing of any movie and that was also quite an experience with lots of pirates in the audience and lots of parrots.

LOVED IT! LOVED IT! LOVED IT!
The ending totally caught me by SURPRISE!
ARRRRRRRRRG! pirate:

Just got back here, as well. I really enjoyed it. Don't think it has the classic staying power of the first one, but I'll be back to see it again! And the ending took me totally by surprise, too.

Okay, now to find a spoilers thread...

I just got back a little while ago... I loved most of it, but I wasn't really a fan of the ending. Oh well.

And midnight showings are always the most fun!

This was the first midnight showing I've been to in a looooooooong time. :) What I couldn't believe was how quickly they sold out of *4* showings in *big* theaters! We got there around 11:10 and were in the 12:20 showing!

My 9 year old son is a huge fan of the first movie- do you guys think the 2nd one would be okay for him?

It's darker than the first (think Batman Returns if you saw that) but I think it would be ok for a 9yo. there were was one kid younger than that at our showing but his Mom said he fell asleep. Davy Jones and his crew are really REALLY creepy! Much more scary than Barbossa's crew IMO.

We went over about 9:30 and bought tickets and thought there was only one showing. The ticket girl said the first one sold out and they opened a second screen. I think they opened a third screen because a large group of people down in the first few rows go up and left. I don't recall seeing an attendant come and get them but other than that I can't imagine where they were going. They didn't come back.

We got there about 11:15 for the 12:00 show in the second theater and we got really good seat but it filled up quickly.

I don't know about that. There was so much going on that I know I'll watch it again several times. I might convince my gf to go see it again in the theater in a week or two when the crowds die down.
