Hello,
I just wanted to drop a note expressing my profound thanks for all the help that everyone on this board has provided. We (my husband and I) just got back from the most fantabulous trip to Paris and Disneyland Paris and cannot wait to go back!
Some highlights (I'll only focus on the DLP portion)-
-Used RS Transports to get us from CDG to our Paris hotel, Paris hotel to DLP, and from DLP back to CDG...they were on time, convenient, spoke English...I'd use them again.
-DLP vs DL, WDW...of course the parks are unique and there is definitely a different vibe for all three. I feel that the rides (were similar attractions exist at DL or WDW) at DLP were a bit more intense...faster, darker...with a bit more of a "kick." I thought the Haunted Mansion at DLP was a more "sinister" version...still great, but I did hear more complaints from the younger bunch.
Okay...loved Indiana Jones...very different than the DL version in CA...I was waiting for the ride to go backwards (have an older version of a DLP guide) that I was so not ready for the loop.
My only "complaint" was that the queue areas/ systems could be better defined. Even with Fastpass at DLP, I just felt that the lines were more effectively managed at DL and WDW.
-Food....okay, it's park food, what can you expect. Continental breakfasts with typical fare already described in previous posts. GMF breakfast...once you get in (again, a madhouse in the morning with the queues), you get the same thing as you would at your hotel, but it is a great way to get in position in the morning before the parks open. (side note...I don't know what they do to the cows in Normandy, but I loved the butter in France...loved, loved, loved it).
Manhattan for diner...great recommendation and great food.
-Hotel, Newport Bay Club, Admirals Club. We got room 6291...the view wasn't so great, it was actually overlooking the "backdoor" area where they take trash out, bring supplies and where the cast members park and enter...so in the mornings, there was a bit of noise, but we were usually up already. The room was quite spacious as it was a corner room...clean, servicable...it was fine.
It was a great experience, overall.
Thank you to everyone who provided input to my many questions as you made our experience quite magical!
